Langtou Village is located in Tanbu Town, Huadu District, Guangzhou City. There are nearly 200 well-preserved blue-brick buildings from the Ming and Qing Dynasties, including nearly 30 ancestral halls, study rooms and academies, and 3 gun towers and gate towers. There are also more than 20 ancient alleys in the village, as well as the historic Shengping Renrui Arch and Qingyun Bridge. It is famous for its variety of ancient buildings, large scale of preserved buildings and rich cultural connotations. It is one of the largest preserved ancient villages in Guangdong so far. In 2008, Langtou Ancient Village became one of the first 27 ancient villages recognized by Guangdong Province. 1. In 2010, it was rated as one of the top ten characteristic streets (villages) in Guangzhou. As soon as you enter the village, you can see an archway. This “Shengping Renrui” archway is not simple. It was given to Mrs. Cui of Huangmen by Emperor Qianlong. Walking along the road, every few ancient houses, there must be a study or private school. Whether it is a bookstore or an ancestral hall, the architectural style is very rigorous, with wood carvings, brick carvings, and brick paintings.
