[2024 Shenyang Stay] Travel Guide for Shangri-La Shenyang (Updated Nov)
Calm and deep - Thoughts on traveling to Datong Guang Village.
Datong Guang Village is like a hidden pearl in the long river of time, exuding a unique and charming charm.
Stepping into Guang Village is like entering a simple painting. The mottled earth walls and ancient cave dwellings silently tell the vicissitudes of history. These cave dwellings are scattered throughout the village, and each entrance seems to be a gateway to time, leading us to explore past lives. Touching the rough yet textured walls of the cave dwellings, you can feel the traces of the ancestors who lived here, and the breath of resilience and wisdom lingers at your fingertips.
The alleys in the village are even more charming. Narrow stone roads wind and connect every household. Walking through them, you may occasionally encounter elderly people sitting at the door basking in the sun, their faces lined with wrinkles like the marks of time, each hiding a story. Here, time seems to slow down, without the hustle and bustle of the city, only tranquility and simplicity.
Guang Village also has a rich cultural heritage. The ancient architectural decorations and traditional folk crafts all showcase the unique connotation of this village. The exquisite wood carvings and brick carvings, though weathered, are still vivid, showing the former prosperity. The items displayed in the Folk Museum, from ancient farm tools to traditional costumes, vividly depict the past production and life of the people of Guang Village, giving us a deeper understanding of the history and culture here.
When leaving Guang Village, my heart is full of reluctance. It is not just a tourist attraction, but more like a spiritual home, allowing us to find a place of tranquility in the busy modern life, feel the nourishment of history and culture, and savor the simple and pure beauty.

The children's park also makes mothers with children worry-free.

Shenyang Shangri-La: The best value-for-money business hotel in Shenhe District!
Shangri-La hotels are considered mid-range among international five-star hotels, but some cities' Shangri-La have integrated local culture and customs, becoming an indispensable landmark hotel. Shenyang Shangri-La is one such example. Located in the commercial core of Shenyang's new district, it boasts an excellent geographical position and viewing perspective, and with its 'high-quality and inexpensive' characteristics, it has become an essential part of Shenyang's landscape. So, what is the experience like at the Shenyang Shangri-La Hotel? Let's take a look!

3. Service Level: The warm and hospitable service adds a lot to the impression score of Shenyang Shangri-La Hotel. The service attitude of the staff in any area of the hotel is very warm and hospitable.
4. Room Hardware: The impressive exterior and luxurious interior are very appealing. The room's hardware facilities and decoration style are very high-end, elegant, and balanced, without flashy decorations and very warm and comfortable. It is suitable for business trips, leisure vacations, or official business.
5. Facilities: Shenyang Shangri-La has a high-altitude executive lounge, gym, indoor swimming pool, and Michelin restaurant, which are very suitable for tourism and vacations.

Life Advice: When visiting Shenyang with kids, make sure to check out these places before leaving
Finally, I have the chance to visit Shenyang🎉
The bathhouse culture, the Imperial Palace, the former residence of Zhang Xueliang, cold chicken cartilage, Northeastern Chinese cuisine... all of these really attract me! It's not easy to find the time for a holiday, so off we go with the baby!
.
📝Here's a 2-day, 1-night itinerary for everyone
.
✅Liaoning Provincial Museum
It's really worth visiting, it's huge and has three floors
As a national first-class museum, it allows you to better understand the past and present of Liaoning Province
Exhibitions include Kangxi, Yongzheng, and Qianlong official kiln porcelain, Ming and Qing jade and porcelain, ancient Chinese steles, ancient Chinese currency, Manchu folk customs, ancient Chinese Buddhist statues...
The educational significance of history is maximized in front of these tangible cultural relics
For kids, it will also make a more lasting impression!
✅Liaoning Science and Technology Museum
It's close to the provincial museum, so we planned it for the same day
If I were to summarize this museum in one word, it would be 'all-encompassing'💯
Dome cinema, fantasy theater, dynamic flight cinema, 4D cinema, children's science playground, exploration and discovery hall, industrial cradle hall, creative practice hall, science and life hall...
In this immersive experience, you can feel the progress and shock that technology brings to people
Hahaha, it's also the first time I've seen my kid have so much fun in a science museum!
✅Shenyang Forest Zoo
Since we're here, how could we not visit the animals that kids love the most?
Red-crowned cranes, sika deer, rhinoceroses, flamingos, ibex, bears, tigers, wolves, alpacas, swans, giraffes...
The most exciting part was seeing the pandas, hehe
The one named Bingqing is the cutest!
The kids are also very happy, and if your baby is still an infant
Pushing a stroller around the park, the trip is about three hours, not too tiring
But you can still see a wide variety of animals, really recommended🐏🐻🦌
✅Shenyang Expo Garden
It's really beautiful, not only does it have characteristic buildings from different places
It's also a true paradise for flower viewing
And it's especially photogenic, with a European-style chapel
I heard it's usually used for weddings
The Lily Tower, Phoenix Square, Rose Garden, and other iconic thematic buildings also feature a collection of garden and architectural gems from the five continents of the world and key cities in China
It's really worth a visit!
Last but not least! I highly recommend the hotel I stayed at in Shenyang this time
It really pleasantly surprised me
Shenyang Shangri-La Hotel is undoubtedly the top choice for family travel!
The location is great, right on the commercial center of Qingnian Street📍
Basically, many commercial centers and shopping centers are nearby
And the transportation is very convenient, close to many major tourist attractions
And the hotel environment is truly top-notch💯
Very luxurious decoration, and the rooms are a combination of intelligence and beauty
The taste in the restaurant is great, I could finish two bowls of the breakfast wontons by myself
The staff are super friendly, giving a refreshing feeling, highly recommended✨
