As soon as you step into the lobby, luxury and warmth hit you. The warm yellow lights and exquisite ornaments are very stylish. The room has an amazing view, you can choose between city view or river view, and you can take in the prosperity of Wenzhou while lying in bed. The bedding is soft and comfortable, and a good night's sleep will refresh you. The hotel’s dining is also superb. The buffet restaurant brings together delicacies from all over the world, and the desserts are so exquisite that you can’t bear to eat them. I'm an ordinary office worker from Taizhou, Zhejiang, with a lovely wife and a 3-year-old son. I enjoy sharing family travel tips, hotel deals, and family-friendly attractions. I accidentally became a family travel blogger. This Lunar New Year, we traveled to Fuzhou. We had a lot of things to do before the trip, and I stayed up late every night to clean the house. By the time we packed our luggage and left, it was already afternoon. The weather wasn't great, and it was raining a little, so we decided to rest in Wenzhou for a night before heading to Pingtan. 🏨 Shangri-La Wenzhou The hotel is close to the Shenhai Expressway exit, just a 10-minute drive away. We booked a family room with a panoramic view of the Oujiang River. I was captivated by the river view as soon as I opened the door, while my son was drawn to the toys in the room. ⛺ There was a puzzle toy in the small tent in the room, and my son played in the tent for over half an hour. There was also a rocking horse, which is perfect for young children. There is a slide outside on the first floor and a K20 playground inside. The playground is spacious and has new toys, and there are staff members to look after the children, so they can play safely. See images 2-10. 🍚 Hotel Buffet We arrived at the hotel around 5 pm and went to the buffet restaurant after checking in. We planned to have a quick meal, but we were amazed by the delicious food. See images 11-16. The buffet dinner and breakfast both featured local Wenzhou dishes: glutinous rice, meat swallow, lard cake, knock wonton, Yongjia wheat cake, pig offal noodles, and more. The flavors were authentic, so there was no need to go out and squeeze into small restaurants with the kids. You can enjoy all these dishes in one place. The restaurant also has a food cart that makes fresh dishes on demand. 🍰 Special shoutout to the dessert chef. The tiramisu, durian cake, and raisin cake were all delicious, and there were over a dozen options to choose from. The hotel is not only close to the expressway exit but also a 20-minute drive from Jiangxin Island and a 30-minute drive from Wuma Street. Unfortunately, it rained, so we couldn't visit these places. We left for Pingtan after breakfast the next day. I promised my son that we would come back for a weekend and visit the nearby attractions.

We stayed at Shangri-La Hotel, Wenzhou. The most impressive part was Shang Palace! We chose to have Chinese food at Shang Palace. The lunch was a Hong Kong-style buffet, which was quite good. 😋 The shrimp dumplings, siu mai, custard buns, marinated meat platter, roasted pigeon, black truffle shrimp balls, and more are all made to order. Roasted pigeon 🐦 Ever since I had roasted pigeon in Ningbo, I've been in love with Shang Palace! ☺️ The pigeon is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside! The pigeon meat is firm and aromatic! It's really worth a try! It's limited to one per person! 😋 Recommended! Shrimp dumplings 🍤 They're quite big! The shrimp inside is also big! The meat is tender and the shrimp is fresh! Unlimited! Worth trying! Custard buns Wow! Mouth-watering 🤤 The custard inside flows out like lava! So tempting! A bit sweet. Goes well with tea! Black truffle shrimp balls Also full of love! A unique aroma! My first time in Wenzhou was a bright morning. The mist from the Oujiang River gently brushed the outline of the city. This small city in southeastern Zhejiang was more gentle and fresh than I had imagined. For this trip, I chose to stay at the Shangri-La Hotel, Wenzhou, located in the heart of the Binjiang CBD. The view here is excellent, and you can enjoy the shimmering Oujiang River and the mountains when you open the window. The Shang Palace Chinese Restaurant took authentic Cantonese cuisine to the extreme, with each dish dancing on the tip of my tongue, unforgettable. Although I only stayed in Wenzhou for two days, the city quietly etched itself into my memory with its clean streets, warm smiles, and strong sense of life. This encounter was a perfect surprise. I look forward to the next time I meet the gentleness of Wenzhou.
