The hotel is located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River, close to Bangkok's shopping, sightseeing and business districts. After the concert, you can stay in Bangkok for a few more days. 🌟Highlights: The hotel has two wings, the Shangri-La Wing and the Bangkok Wing, each with a different style. Both offer views of the Chao Phraya River at night. Classic hotel stay

Had our recent BKK stay at the newly reopen Krungthep Wing at Shangri La Bangkok. The wing is at another corner of the main wing, hence it makes it a way quieter and secluded. (The only hotel lobby was just us and the hotel staff! Kinda private but kinda eerie too) Overall stay was high commendable. Hotel rooms has a classical Luxury design (Tiles are in Marble) hence for those who like a modern contemporary design I guess you may find the hotel “old”. Facilities in the hotel are sufficient, however no doubt prices in the hotel can be expensive. Nonetheless, there are nearby food joints and small massage outlets next to the hotel to save that extra penny in you wallet. Transportation is some what convenient (BTS next to Krungthep Wing). The hotel also provide a free ferry to Iconsiam shopping mall (however do be mindful the last ferry leaves at 0530pm BKK time, so any late evening shopping after that you will have to grab a taxi back from the mall or take the BTS back!) What I really hope the hotel will provide are kids friendly facilities and amenities, similarly like how their other properties overseas (i.e. Shangri La Sg has a very good kids play area - Buds) All in all, my family and I had a good time at Shangri La Bangkok (Krungthep Wing)! Healthy Club

This Christmas weekend, I and family decide to stay in bangkok in order to avoid traffic jam when we go another province. We spend our weekend at Shangri-la Bangkok, Healty club in particular. There are a lot of exercise instruments here. We can join yoga class, dance, and also aerobic. Swimming pool is quite small and so crowded. Jacuzzi is best way to relax after finish exercise.

#celebratewithtrip Shanri-La is strategically located directly at the tiverside close to the skytrain station Saphan Taksin whixh brings you to the station called National Stadium in the City Center in less than 30 minutes. This makes the location of this hotel very unique. As one building is under renovation at the moment the other building is under high demand. From the top of the hotel you can watch the sunset across the river on the one side and the skyline of Bangkok with its major skyscrapers on the other side. It is also easy to reach this hotel complex by boat or even public ferry which is definitely worth it #tripblazers

Horizon Cub Shangri-La Bangkok⚡

Located at 89 Soi Wat Suan Plu, New Road Bangrak, Bangkok 10500 Thailand I am staying in the Shangri La Bangkok since many years,several times per year,mostly in the Horizon Club which is an exclusive section of this beautiful hotel located on the top 4 floors of the hotel. We celebrated an anniversary in Horizon Club rooms at Sangri-La and it is a visit I will remember. The Horizon rooms are located on the top floors and connected to the floor with the Horizon Lounge by a circular, grand staircase. The rooms are unique in design and the thai heritage is visible in the decor. We recieved a chocolate treat as a special welcome and with regards to the room I could wish for nothing more. The view is to die for and the architecture is clever so that rooms on both sides of the corridor have river views. The lounge is very large with devoted staff (a special thanks to Kook!). They serve breakfast, afternoon tea and evening cocktails with a buffet. We tried breakfast downstairs but were unimpressed. While everything else at this grand hotel is the best in its class, the downstairs breakfast was noisy, messy and for some reason guests cannot help themselves to fruit, baked goods and yoghurt. You must wait behind a counter while staff picks pieces of fruit for you, which is time-consuming and strange. I was also surprised by how different hospitality was in the breakfast restaurant: we waited a long time for coffee, were not offered refills and the egg station chef sloppily poured scrambled eggs on top of my plate with indian curry. So for breakfast the lounge is much better if you have the opportunity. Afternoon tea is limited (better at Marriott, Hilton Conrad in my opinion) but they do serve 2 sets of sandwiches, scones and fresh fruit. The real experience is cocktail hour where they let you choose from a list of 12 cocktails, wine and beer. The buffet is enough to sustain you until breakfast so we did not go out for dinner afterwards. They serve lovely chocolates from the lobby chocolaterie after the main courses and everything is beautifully laid out. Large pool area, stunning lobby, very kind and respectful staff everywhere but the breakfast room. Thank you, Shangri-La, for this most enjoyable experience. We will live on the memory until we can return! This section of the Shangri La is an oasis of luxury calm and smiles. The rooms are Feng Shui beautifully decorated with magnificent view on the river. The Club has been closed for a long period during the Covid 19 period. Now they reopened and guest are coming back as Thailand is now accepting tourists again Usually when I visited the Shangri La I was treated With a welcome back, this time with welcome home !!! Chi, the spa by Shangri La Bangkok

The spa name "chi" or generally known as "qi" is believed to be a vital life force that forms our well being and vitality in the Chinese culture. At the chi spa, holistic treatment are provided based on each individual needs. I was asked to fill up some questionnaire and also if there are any particular area that I want to focus on. A very nice touch as I don't get asked this question often. The treatment room is very big, and this kinda made me feel more peaceful and at ease as I don't really like a very small room. Claustrophobic! Masseuse was very professional and skillful. I opt for their aromatherapy massage but felt that the strength is a little lacking as I prefer a massage that's a little more force. They are having a promotion and you can get a 90 minutes aromatherapy massage at THB1999 per pax now. Rating: 3.5/5 #createwithtrip

most convenient hotel to stay beside the river peer. The gym is 24 hours and it's awesome. I highly recommend it. The service and bfast is also very good with fresh juices and fruits.

Enjoy fine wine and sunset by the Chao Phraya River

It is said that the window of this room is an excellent spot to watch Bangkok's New Year's Eve fireworks! It is recommended to book the Deluxe Pavilion room type for its great view, not to mention the dining service provided. Having a specially mixed cocktail at night is important for a good night's sleep! The surrounding area is very convenient for dining, shopping, and visiting attractions. It is advised not to take a taxi during peak traffic hours as it can get quite congested. End a perfect day with a SPA.

There are so many good hotels, everyone has different budget needs, so it's up to you, but I also recommend a few hotels that I think are good: For couples who are not short on cash, the Mandarin Oriental Bangkok, for those who want affordability without losing the hotel experience, the Centre Point Hotel Chidlom Bangkok, and for a bit of luxury, the Shangri-La Hotel Bangkok ❤️ - Day1 Visit the supermarket on the minus one floor of the Siam Paragon Shopping District to try some durian 😋 Then you can go to the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Reclining Buddha to have a look 👀 In the evening, take the public ferry to the 'Ferris Wheel Night Market' for some food and drinks 🍻 You can also take a ride on the Ferris wheel to join in the fun 🎡 There's also a lot to buy here, and you can bargain at the stalls‼️ - Day2 Sleep until noon, then go for a 'T&K Seafood' curry crab, raw marinated shrimp, and mango sticky rice ✔️ T&K is a well-known local chain (quality is top-notch online) so just search for this restaurant on the map and go to whichever is closest. Then head to the 'Chatuchak Weekend Market' for a stroll (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). This market is huge, with food, drinks, and shopping. By the time you're done, it's usually evening and you can barely walk ✔️ That's when you can go to the famous massage parlor Let's Relax for a massage‼️ The Centre Point Hotel Chidlom Bangkok I recommended at the beginning has a branch of this massage parlor on the first floor, which is why I often stay at this hotel when I'm in Bangkok 😂 - Day3 Sleep until noon and go to Chulalongkorn University for a stroll. The campus is open and large, and you can check in anywhere. There are also many popular restaurants among students, such as 'Chula 50's' affordable crab meat rice. It's really delicious, but it's just too crowded during meal times. Also, the Centre Point Hotel Chidlom Bangkok I mentioned at the beginning is just a 2-minute walk from these popular restaurants 😂 You can take away food and eat back at the hotel. In the evening, you can go to Chinatown for some food and drinks. Famous dishes like pig's trotter rice and pig's offal soup are easy to find there. You can also try some bird's nest and shark fin. Don't think that you shouldn't go to Chinatown just because it's mostly Chinese; the shops run by Chinese descendants there are really delicious 😋 - Day4 You should definitely visit the big malls like Terminal 21 and the downtown King Power Duty Free Shop‼️ The former has many cultural and creative stores, and there's a lot of food and drink, making it very enjoyable to shop‼️ I don't always find the prices of luxury goods at King Power very attractive, but tourists can get vouchers with their passports, and having a meal in the food area is no problem 😋 Then you can go shopping for some local products to take home as gifts 🎁 - Eating, drinking, and massages are the main highlights of a trip to Bangkok 😌 It's really comfortable and happy ❤️ Bangkok has two airports, and I recommend 'Suvarnabhumi Airport' ✈️ It's very new and big, and the international flight waiting area is full of King Power Duty Free shops 🛍️ Even if your flight is delayed, you'll have a great time shopping there ❤️

This year, coming to Thailand for the Songkran Festival, I must say it was really exciting! Besides having fun, it's important to have a good rest. This time, I stayed at the Shangri-La Hotel in Bangkok, which is said to have been stayed in by the Thai royal family as well. Let me share my stay experience with you~ First of all, I must say that the hotel's location is particularly great, situated right along the Chao Phraya River and very close to the BTS, just a short walk away. There's a ferry pier downstairs with a free shuttle boat that can take you across the river to iconsiam, which is very convenient for tourists. The hotel lobby is decorated with many artistic ornaments, and with its stylish decor, you can feel the strong Thai ambiance the moment you enter. The room's interior design incorporates a lot of teak and silk elements, blending retro and modern comfort very well. The warm yellow tones also make it feel very cozy, and the large windows offer a panoramic view of the Chao Phraya River, making the overall atmosphere very grand. The hotel's executive lounge is on the 24th floor, with a very open view, overlooking the Chao Phraya River and the coastal buildings. Dining here while enjoying the view is a wonderful experience, suitable for both leisure and business discussions. Additionally, I must mention the swimming pool, which is also located by the Chao Phraya River, surrounded by tropical plants, with high-rise buildings in the distance, making for a very vacation-like photo opportunity! The hotel also has a popular restaurant located by the Chao Phraya River. At sunset, watching the sparkling river, feeling the soft and soothing breeze, and having dinner with the sunset is an amazing experience. They also have special performances in the evening, so remember to book in advance before coming~

#songkran2024We had an amazing experience here. We wanted to spoil ourselves at the end of a long trip and we were easily able to do that here. It felt like walking into a palace. Our river-view room was beautiful with the most comfortable plush beds. We ate at the Next 2 Cafe breakfast every morning and got room service every night and every single thing we ate was unbelievable. I also got a spa treatment here and it was wonderful and relaxing. Everything was a great value. The hotel is very close to the Sathorn Pier which has ferries across the river. It was a really convenient location. Maybe we are easy to impress but we were really blown away by this place.

#2024wish My 2024 travel wish is to be able to go back to the Bangkok Shangri la hotel to stay back their club room. Previously, i had booked the club room and I had my breakfast at the lounge floor. The spread was lesser than the assortment at the main hall. But there is exclusivity here. This place is much quieter and the view from the top floor of the hotel was excellent. The ambiance was great and it looked luxurious. We had to order through the staff for some of the food items as it was not displayed at the lounge dining area. #wheretogo Shangrila Bangkok is lactate along the Chao Phraya River , it has 802 luxury guests rooms inside the hotel. it’s central locate at the business district is so much convenient for people who come for holiday or work. there is a boat for your to ride along the river to the nearest attraction. the room was cosy although is abit old but well maintained. they have enough water for you daily and welcome fruit platter for us as well. we have a very nice river view room which much better than the city view . the facilities here are great there are CHI spa in the hotel and nice swimming pool for family with kids . the chi spa was great but the price is abit high compare with other . On the banks of the Chao Phraya River in Thailand, there is a hotel where the Thai royal family has stayed twice. It is the Bangkok Shangri-La Hotel, a charming riverside resort in the heart of this vibrant city. It opened in 1986, the same year as me~ The hotel is divided into two wings, the Shangri-La Wing and the Krungthep Wing, and is an oasis on the riverbank, with Thai-style architecture, providing the closest natural retreat in the city center. After spending a week on vacation in Siem Reap, Cambodia, I returned to Bangkok and chose to stay at this Shangri-La hotel on the banks of the Chao Phraya River. I really like the design style of the executive suite on the top floor, especially the decorations and paintings on the wall behind the headboard, and the view of the Chao Phraya River from the living room and bedroom is also very good! The sunset of Siam and the night view of the Chao Phraya River can be seen from the room, which is extremely beautiful! In addition to two special suites comparable to the presidential suite, the 72-square-meter river view executive suite I stayed in at the Shangri-La Wing should be the most luxurious one. The things used in the room are all very good, such as Thai silk walls, wooden shoe stretchers, and many other high-end furniture and decorations that look very luxurious. The room also includes luxury attic executive privileges. And the resort atmosphere of the hotel is really comfortable! Just lying by the river pool, ordering some drinks and enjoying them~ I could lie there all day!
