This is a medieval fortress was built in the 15th century, and serve as residence for the Sforza family during the Renaissance period. It was damaged during WW2, and was as restored & reopen in 1950s.
You can now explore various museums & galleries, including the Museum of Ancient Art and the Museum of Musical Instruments.
I would recommend spending at least half a day here, to take in the views and explore the museums! To get here, you can alight at Cadorna Station.

MILAN’s CASTLE
The Visconti and Sforza families ruled Milan from 1277 to 1447 and 1450 to 1535, respectively. The Castello Sforzesco was built in 1368 and rebuilt in 1450. The 70-meter Torre de Filarete is a replica of the original gate-tower built in 1905.
The Sforza Castle (Castello Sforzesco) was erected as a castle in the fourteenth century and is one of Milan's most iconic landmarks. It currently contains one of the city's greatest museums.
The Musei del Castello Sforzesco, a collection of museums, includes one dedicated to sculpture. The Pietà Rondanini, Michelangelo's final masterwork, was transferred here from the Palazzo Rondanini in Rome in 1953.

Castello castle aka sforza castle
The Castello Sforzesco (Italian for "Sforza's Castle") is a medieval fortification located in Milan, northern Italy. It was built in the 15th century by Francesco Sforza, Duke of Milan, on the remnants of a 14th-century fortification. Later renovated and enlarged, in the 16th and 17th centuries it was one of the largest citadels in Europe. Extensively rebuilt by Luca Beltrami in 1891–1905, it now houses several of the city's museums and art collections.
The Castello Sforzesco complex includes the following museums.

rolling through Milan's romantic citywalk with a friend is just too cool and spicy
🇮🇹 First off, the ancient city of Milan is free to enter and exit at will!
🚶♂️ Milan is such a great place to explore, you just can't stop in one day.
🚋 The transportation is very convenient, with a 24-hour pass available from vending machines for €7.6.
🗺️ Milan Cathedral → Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II & Statue → Sforza Castle → Sempione Park → Arch of Peace → San Siro Stadium → Chinatown → Milan CBD & Vertical Forest, this route is truly spectacular.
⛪️ The Milan Cathedral is astonishing, with its exquisite exterior and luxurious interior decorations, and the sound of the organ echoing inside, which is truly refreshing.
🏰 Sforza Castle is a place full of history, walking through it feels like traveling through time.
🌳 Sempione Park is a paradise for couples, with cute dogs that are just so healing!
⚽️ The San Siro Stadium was an unexpected delight, with a 100-meter graffiti wall right outside the subway exit, perfect for photos!
🍜 Chinatown is bustling with excitement, and the variety of delicious foods is mouth-watering.
🏙️ Lastly, Milan's CBD and Vertical Forest showcase the city's fashion and modern charm.
🏨 Regarding accommodation, the Smart Hotel Central is a good choice, conveniently located, and although the windows are a bit small, it's overall comfortable.
🎨 Although I didn't manage to book 'The Last Supper,' paying a cyber homage is also a nice option!
👋 Until next time, goodbye, Mila

Nice gardens in and around the castle
melocotown
Sforzesco Castle is in the heart of Milan, with an iconic square clock tower in the middle of the castle and a prototype turret at the corner. The periphery is a circle of trenches that are now covered by green, terrible lawns. Red bricks and beige plasters, the old Si family's house looks slightly broken bricks, but the size and momentum of the castle are not said. Through the doorway, there is an open square inside. There are many museums inside, most of which are arts and crafts. If you don't have deep cultural advice, don't go in. Look at the location is very good, the castle compound is free to enter.
