Amazing small island park in Seoul
#fallingforfall
Seounyudo Park is located on the tourist island of Seounyudo in Seoul.
You can see Mangwon Hangang Park on one side and Yanghwa Hangang Park on the other.
Getting to this island is extremely easy. Buses depart from the intersection of the island and the bridge. If you want to come by Subway, you have to walk after arriving at Seonyude station.
The island is indeed full of beauties reserved for tourism. In autumn, the trees changes color and its beauty becomes more obvious. You can come here and look different tree species, take a walk or have a picnic by looking at the han river.

Lazy Out is a charming and cute cafe located in Seonyudo, Yeongdeungpo. They are known for their colorful and delicious fruit sandwiches. The fruits used are very sweet, and the cream is a delightful mix of milk cream, cream cheese, and yogurt cream, making the experience as vibrant as the colors. As winter approaches, we highly recommend trying their strawberry sandwich.

The parking lot is a 10-15 minute walk from Yangwha Hangang Park, and the bus is well-maintained. It is wide and the walking path is well-maintained, and the facilities are unique and new. It is a good place for taking pictures. There are many photo zones everywhere and a place to rest in between. Many people bring mats and rest, and the restrooms are well-maintained, comfortable, and clean. It is a good place for an outing.

Seonyudo Park: A Green Oasis in the City
#myhiddengems
Seonyudo Park, a tranquil island in the Han River, is one of Seoul’s hidden gems. Once a water purification plant, the island was transformed into an eco-park where nature and industrial elements harmonize. It’s an ideal spot for a peaceful walk, a picnic, or a bike ride while enjoying the stunning views of the Han River. This place is lesser known to tourists, making it a peaceful retreat away from the city’s hustle.
Tip: Bring a picnic and enjoy a sunset by the riverside for an unforgettable experience.

Seoul: Seonyudo Island in the River
🌈Attraction Features: You can walk from Yanghwa Bridge (Line 9 Seonyudo Station, Dangsan Station, or Line 2 Dangsan Station) while enjoying the scenery of the Han River to reach the park. Originally a mountain island in the river, it lost its original appearance after the Han River flood, as the mountain rocks were used for riverbank restoration. Later (in the 1970s), it was transformed into a water purification plant. In recent years, it has restored its natural landscape, becoming a river park. The island is surrounded by swings, and there are traditional pavilions where you can enjoy the Han River. The view of Yeouido's skyline from Seonyudo Island is beautiful. You can see the unique scenery of the subway crossing the Han River. There is a convenience store where you can eat instant noodles and special ice cream.
There are four circular spaces to visit, namely the cultural space, the eco-friendly playground, the open-air theater, and the environmental classroom. An additional story hall introduces the history and culture of the Han River and is closed on Mondays. It is open from 09:00 to 18:00 on weekdays (09:00 to 17:00 in winter).
The entire island is very well greened. It is a great place for a weekend or after-work gathering with friends.
🎟️Ticket Information: Free
🕐️Opening Hours: 06:00-24:00
💗Other Tips: There is a ferry on the east side of the island. There is a rainbow bridge on the north side of the island built to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Korea-France diplomatic relations. You can leave the island. There are buses 602, 603, and 604 at the park entrance. Only disabled parking spaces are provided. Other vehicles need to use Han River Park No. 3 parking lot.

It's a very pretty park. It is fun to walk around and discover what it has to offer. You will find people lounging and just relaxing on the many benches along the park. There is a cafe, too. I had a coconut milk latte which I can highly recommend. Overall a very pleasant visit. The views to both sides of the river als also very impressive. It's free, so if you have the time consider a visit.
