[Korea Travel] Gyeongju / A giant Buddha statue that can only be seen by those who reach the top of the mountain path
#RecommendedKorea2024
📍Seokguram Grotto, Gyeongju, Korea
After passing through the first gate, you walk along the mountain path for about 30 minutes until you see the main hall.
The ground is dirt, but it is well maintained, so you can walk without any problems.
Colorful lanterns are decorated along the way, and they are really beautiful when they sway in the wind✨
There were many people taking photos✨️
At the end, there is a heart-breaking staircase that takes about 5 minutes, and only those who are confident in their legs and hips can go...
There is a huge Buddha statue in a dimly lit cave, and since I walked up a difficult mountain path, I felt like I was being praised for coming😌
Photography is prohibited inside the cave, so there are no photos.
There is a bus that goes close to the cave from Shingyeongju Station, but the mountain path can only be reached on foot.
The entrance fee is about 600 yen.

South Korea's World Heritage Part 2
Let's head to Gyeongsangbuk-do, South Korea
Today, I am heading to Bulguksa Temple in Gyeongju
First, I will visit Seokguram Grotto, which is also a national treasure.
Taking the subway and then transferring to a national highway bus
It takes about an hour from Daegu to Gyeongju
Arriving at the bus station, then transferring to a local bus
Arriving at Bulguksa Temple, then transferring again
After a long journey, I finally reach Seokguram Grotto
Seokguram Grotto is located on Tohamsan Mountain
It has been around for over 1,200 years
Built in the 8th century AD
It is South Korea's National Treasure No. 24
And is also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site
Upon reaching Seokguram Grotto, the scenery is beautiful
A Korean-style bell tower with red maple trees beside it
Walking along the mountain path towards the Seokguram Grotto gate
You will see a temple on the hillside
Inside the hill is the national treasure, Seokguram Grotto
Seokguram Grotto is made of granite
Inside the grotto is a seated Buddha statue
The main Buddha is 3.5 meters tall
Elegantly seated on a lotus throne
The Buddha's hand gesture looks out to the sea
Depicting the enlightenment of Buddha
Surrounded by gods, bodhisattvas, and ten disciples

Great Places for an Autumn Walk: Gyeongju Seokguram
🫧I visited Gyeongju Seokguram because I wanted to see it with my own eyes. There is no admission fee, but there is a parking fee. The walking path from the parking lot to Seokguram is well-maintained. Witnessing the grandeur and the unfortunate state of Seokguram firsthand evoked mixed emotions, but I was glad I visited. Photography is still prohibited, so I took in the image of the Buddha for a long time and deeply appreciated the unparalleled wisdom of our ancestors.

South Korea🇰🇷Viewing maple leaves at Gyeongju Seokguram Grotto🍁The flowers are mesmerizingly beautiful💕
I am very happy to fly to Busan, South Korea with my friends to enjoy the maple leaves in November 🍁🍁🍁The temperature difference between morning and evening in South Korea in November is large. The sun shines warmly at noon and afternoon, and the temperature begins to drop after sunset.
Tourists are coming in an endless stream. Everyone comes to catch maple leaves during the warm autumn weather at noon. This is also my first time abroad to enjoy maple leaves. I never expected to see such wonderful flowers and trees in Busan, the second largest city in South Korea. , there is seasonal maple viewing🍁
Seokguram Grotto is a famous historic site in the Republic of Korea and a typical cave temple in the Republic of Korea. It is an artificial cave temple built of granite. Because it is a Buddhist temple built in a cave carved from natural boulders, it is named Seokguram Grotto. Its official name is Seokguram Grotto. The caves of Seokguram Grotto are designated as National Treasure No. 24 of the Republic of Korea and are managed exclusively. In December 1995, Seokguram Grotto and Bulguksa Temple were jointly registered as [World Cultural Heritage] by UNESCO.
Suggestion: Busan in the southeast of South Korea has a lower latitude, so the maple leaf season is later than in the north. Around the end of October to early November every year, Busan and surrounding cities are the most colorful. During this time, the maple leaves will slowly turn red. , Ginkgo trees are turning yellow one after another, and the style is quite colorful. In addition, the leaves of the cherry blossom trees will gradually change from green to red and yellow, which is so futuristic🤭💕💕💕

Pride of Korean cultural assets. A hermitage on the hill of Tohamsan in Jinhyeon-dong, Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do. Seokgul was created by Kim Dae-sung of Unification Silla in the era of North and South Korea.
