Located in Onomichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture, this accommodation is a renovated 80-year-old house that offers a unique experience of only accommodating one group of guests per day. It is not far from JR Onomichi Station, about 5 minutes by taxi. If you drive by yourself, you can also use the nearby free parking space. The public holiday of the accommodation is every Monday, and the first and third Tuesday of each month. In Onomichi City, you can also experience other various tourist activities, such as taking a cable car to Senkoji Park, visiting Onomichi City Art Museum, or taking a boat tour on Onomichi Suido. If you want to overlook the entire city of Onomichi, Senkoji Temple is the best spot. The observation deck here is also very creative, with one half spiraling upwards and the other half going straight up and down. You can choose the path you prefer. The view from here is absolutely stunning in the summer. The photos taken under the blue sky and white clouds turn out very well. As for Senkoji Temple itself, I only took pictures of two places: one is this pile of little monks in the temple, which seems to be where people buy little monk statues to make wishes, and the other is the large Kannon statue. It appears that the main deity worshipped at Senkoji Temple is Kannon. Halfway down the mountain, there is the famous Cat Alley. This path initially had lucky cat stones placed along it, and it gradually evolved into a path filled with lucky cat stones, hence the name Cat Alley. However, this path is actually quite dilapidated because the surrounding houses seem uninhabited, and many are almost ruins. Although Cat Alley is named after the lucky cat stones, there are actually real cats living here. Today, I encountered three of them, plus one more at the top of the mountain, making a total of four. Onomichi itself is also a city of cats, and if the weather isn't too hot, the chances of encountering cats on the mountain are higher. Senkoji Temple is about a 15-minute walk from Onomichi Station towards the shopping street. You can choose to take the cable car up or walk up. A one-way ticket costs 500 yen, and a round trip costs 700 yen. I personally recommend taking the cable car up and walking down, so you can also explore Cat Alley on the way down. Additionally, there are few shades on the mountain in summer, so make sure to take sun protection measures.

It takes about 10 minutes to climb the stairs from the top of Senkoji Park to reach Senkoji Temple. After finishing my trip to Hiroshima with my friends at the end of January, I went sightseeing by myself in several small cities near Hiroshima! Kure City, where Japanese warships were built in the past >Onomichi City, famous for its local ramen and pudding >Fukuyama City, where Fukuyama Castle and the Retro Technology + Tea Museum are located >Saijo Station, where Hiroshima's famous brewery town is located! It may be a little too small to fly to from Korea, but I visited a lot of places with unique and delicious restaurants that are perfect for completing side quests on a day trip while visiting Hiroshima. I'll write about my memorable experiences in each area~~ Kure City is a city where Japanese warships were built, and there are several museums where the history of warships is described in detail! It's a place where you can see the history of Kure City, where warships were built, the types of warships, and even the inside of warships in detail, so it seems like a good place to go for history or military-related things. There is a Chinese restaurant called (Chinraiken珍来軒) where you can eat Chinese cold noodles. The cold noodles and shumai there are incredibly delicious. I highly recommend visiting this place when you visit Kure! The next place we went to was Onomichi, a smaller city near the beach. It was a quiet and cozy city where you could often see small transport ships and oyster mining ships! I highly recommend trying the famous Onomichi ramen and Onomichi pudding, and as a tourist attraction, I recommend Senkoji Park, which you can go up by cable car! I think it would be best to go up and see the peak, and then go down and see a traditional Japanese temple and cat alley!ㅎㅎ Fukuyama City was a city with an ambiguous and unique landscape where if you go up from the station, you will immediately see a residential area, and if you go down, you will see a city! The most memorable things were the museum where retro machines and cars were on display, and Fukuyama Castle! Also, Fukuyama is famous for sea bream, so I ate a lot of teppo at a bar!ㅎㅎ On the last day, I like sake, so I wanted to visit a sake brewery, so I went to Saijo Station. It was only 30 minutes away from Hiroshima Airport, so I spent the day before returning home, and after hearing about the various manufacturing processes at the brewery and tasting the sake, I bought all three bottles because there were three delicious sakesㅎㅎㅎ (The sake brand was Kamotsuru!) While going around the various areas around Hiroshima, my feet were tired, but my eyes and mouth were very happy. Several check-in spots in Onomichi: You can see the shopping street after exiting Onomichi Station. It is not very popular, but there is a delicious bakery inside, and there are some special shops to hang out in. Also, you can walk along the coast after exiting the station. There are also shops for renting bicycles and riding. Whether you want to ride in the city or go to Shimanami Kaido, it is no problem. Senkoji Temple overlooks the scenery of Onomichi. There are also many wind chimes here, which are very nice to hear in the wind! You can choose to go up and down the cable car or walk when you come to Senkoji Temple. It is recommended to experience both, go up the cable car and walk down. On the way down the mountain from Senkoji Temple, you will pass the narrow path of cats, a small path with cat elements. You may see it (but I didn't see it). You can just take a look here. Another specialty of Onomichi is Onomichi ramen. It is a little oily but tastes very good. It is worth a try. There are several near the station. Another bakery in the shopping street is worth recommending. It is very photogenic and the food inside is also delicious (Figure 4 and Figure 5) Although it was cloudy on the day I went to Onomichi, it did not hinder my love for Onomichi.
