Its buzzing whether by day or night. Looks different so go there twice if you have time. Photos turned out differently. Nice architecture and the feel of Portuguese origins are strong. Do make a trip down if you are in Macau. It's nice to come to this area after spending time in the malls. Pretty old building, and on one of the street, filled with food shops offering free samples.

In 1940, a small garden was built at the centre of the square, featuring a bronze statue of Vicente Nicolau de Mesquita standing above a stone pillar pulling out a sword.
