The Marba Building is one of the central points that attracts the attention of tourists while in the Heritage area of the Old City of Semarang. How could I not, the color is the most contrasting compared to other old buildings which are predominantly white. Like a cup of milk, Gedung Marba is a sprinkling of chocolate on the surface. This two-story building was built with bricks without plaster painted red. Every bone of the building is painted white so that it has an art deco feel too if people nowadays say. The position of the Marba Building is also very strategic because it is on the "front cover" of the Old City, along with other popular buildings including the legendary Blenduk Church. No wonder this building is one of the targets of tourists to use as a background when taking pictures. Unfortunately, not just anyone can enter this building. Because even though it is old, the Marba Building is still used as a company office. So that only the front can be explored by tourists. From the existing literature, the Marba Building, more than a century ago, was built and used by merchants from Arabia, Yemen to be precise, for their trading business center. Marta Badjunet, the name of this wealthy merchant. The Marba building is taken from its abbreviation. Marta Badjunet became Marba, that is. If you love old buildings and something like that, then you must visit this Semarang old town. I must say that Semarang old town is one of the recommended places when you visit Semarang. In this old town, you can see, among other things, Gereja Blendoek, cafes, good restaurants, etc. You may find many buildings with their European architecture. During the Dutch colonial era, The city of Semarang was mainly divided into three area; the Chinese camp, the inlander (or the native Indonesian) and the European area. There are many photography groups who gathered in this area and took photos of buildings, streets, people and so on. I love this area and looking forward to seeing how it will be developped in the future. NEW HIDDEN SPACE, THERE'S A RESTAURANT AND A BILLIARD PLACE WITH A SUPER CUTE AMBIENCE Last New Year's Eve, Den had time to write down things he wanted to do in 2025, one of which was trying new things.. Honestly, this was Den's first time playing billiards. Ofc, he wouldn't be good at it right away.. Finally, Den looked for a place that had a private room, aka not being watched by other customers. The owner @revanosatria told him directly that he had just opened a billiard place that also had a restaurant that could be used for tasting.. Without thinking twice, Den immediately scheduled it this afternoon during opening hours. When he arrived in front of the place, to be honest, he looked for it a bit first.. Because this place seemed to be designed for those who know. Well, it turns out that the location is above Starbucks Kota Lama.. So enter through the side door.. Go up, then there's a ship's steering wheel/safe door.. New you guys will find a place as fast as this.. So the space is divided into 4, there is a non-smoking area that is super futuristic like an astronaut style.. the restaurant area with a more rustic design.. the smoking area that is more vintage.. until the VVIP area which is super cute, where there is also a PS5. For the food, honestly, all the spices are strong and spicy, Den likes the Oxtail the most.. Sweet and savory, then the sauce (not in the photo) is the typical sour and spicy, very refreshing.. The Macadamia Latte Milk Coffee is also very balanced

This time i want to share about my experience when i visited the Heritage Site of Semarang City in Indonesia named Semarang Old Town or also known as Kota Lama Semarang. Kota Lama/Old Town is a cultural heritage area in Semarang City, in this area you can see many old and historic buildings from the Dutch Era. I really loved the vibes of Kota Lama Semarang, and this place also suitable for you guys who loved photography or want to take a picture in Instagrammable Spot. In Kota Lama Semarang there are many restaurants and cafe nearby, you can see many restaurants here from the one who sells Javanese/Indonesian food until Western and Japanese food. Everytime a friend visits me in Semarang city, I will always bring them to look around this area. It is one of the most popular tourist attraction in town. Super perfect to have #citywalk here. The name is Semarang Old Town (Kawasan Kota Lama Semarang). It is very close to the 0 KM (center point of the city) Semarang. The area is not that huge. You can visit it in 2-3 hours. There's no entrance fee for visiting Semarang Old Town. But if you come with your own vehicle, they have parking area for motorbike and car. So, you only need to pay for the parking fee. Things to see in Semarang Old Town are cafes, museums, art galleries, classic buildings, etc. Make sure you visit this place when you're in Semarang ✨

Spent one hour here in Semarang Old City. The original name of this area is Kota Lama Semarang. It is located close to Semarang Tawang train station. This place is famous for oldies and classic-style buildings dominated by white color. It's not hard to find small shops, restaurants or cafe around this area. Just like the famous "Spiegel" on the last picture. It was actually a cafe (Bar & Bistro) at the first floor ☺️ There's the famous Church name "Gereja Blenduk" too here (on the first picture). I recommend you to come in weekdays, since weekend this area will be packed by visitors. The best way to get here is with motorbike (just pay the parking fee) or motorbike taxi ☺️ #citywalk #semarang

i like the view here, especially the buildings that’s so beautiful and relaxing, and also the foods are very cheap but delicious. It’s worth it to spend time here
