I was recommended by my friend. She was telling me how beautiful Malta was and here we go! I spent 4days and 3 nights in Malta. Aside from all the tourists spots, I would recommend you to visit Popeyes village. This is not somewhere that will be recommended to tourist, kinda like hidden spot. The village was built in 1980 for film and it became the major tourist attractions in Malta. Trust me! It is definitely worth to visit. The sea view and houses around were just amazing, especially during the evening. From Valletta, you can take 222 bus to Mellieha Bay, change to 237 bus to reach the village. There are many “taking picture” spots that you can explore around. Popeye Village 📍Triq Tal-Prajjet, Il-Mellieħa, Malta In Malta, I was exploring around their local food. I would definitely recommend you to try Caviar& Bull. The caviar tasted so good! Aside from Caviar, we ordered Beef Rib eyes and spaghetti as our main. The beef rib eyes was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ but the spaghetti sauce was a lil to sour for us. We also ordered baked pumpkin. It doesn’t taste like normal pumpkin that we usually had. But we find it very interesting. As a coconut lover, I ordered one of the cocktail from the drinks menu. It was kinda like pineapple 🍍 + coconut 🥥. Throughout the years, Malta was ruled by the Romans, Arabs, and Brits, to name a few, and you can feel the mix of cultures in everything and everywhere. I preferred to stay in Valetta, is more convenient to reach everywhere, also it was easier to move around by boat or either hop on -hop off In this case, I stayed at Tano’s Boutique Guesthouse. I went to the Upper BarrakaGardens first and then Lower Barrakka Gardens same. Staff were super helpful and attentive. My skin feels dreamy, so relaxing. A few small points on the hotel leisure facilities (not the spa itself) .. the layout for all the pools is confusing.. you can't easily go between them with your things / while wet. There should be some drinking water facilities around the fitness room and sauna as again, unless you've brought a water bottle with you it's not easy to rehydrate.

We crossed a wooded area where people set up as couples or friends to camp before arriving at the chapel and continuing our walk along the cliffs and then going down to coral lagoon. I recommend this excursion which is done quietly and easily.

If you want to just sit on your towel there is space for that, a beach restaurant and public toilets. You can also hire beach chairs and parasol for € 10 a chair. With the chair you get a towel, access to a toilet on the premesis, outdoor shower and they serve food and drinks at your chair. There is a huge hotel right next door, so it might get full at peak season. Diving and snorkelling center next to the beach. 30 min drive from Valletta/Sliema. Easy parking. Very nice cliff views!

What then made our day special was the hour on the inflatables positioned in the water. The price is high (30 euros for 2 adults and 2 children aged 2 and 4) but it is worth it. In the afternoon then the water got murkier and the magic ended. In any case ideal beach for those with small children, as the bottom is shallow and sandy.

#falladventures #familytravel The architecture of this church of course it amazing but it wasn’t that that blew me away. Opposite the church door, across the pretty courtyard is a new museum, only opened in December 2023, which was originally a resting place for people throughout time who have made pilgrimages to the church but needed a safe place to rest before returning home. This building now is the home of many relics given to the church as gifts for having their prayers answered or their lives saved after shipwrecks or illness. Paintings, jewellery, statues and many more artefacts are on view as well as an homage to Pope Paul II who made a visit to the island in the 1980’s, including the chair he sat in and the pen he used. Even if you are not particularly religious, many of these artefacts date back hundreds of years and lots of them appear to have been crafted/painted yesterday because they are so well preserved. The curator of this small museum gave us a guided tour which was fascinating. Thank you John, we were mesmerised by your wide ranging knowledge but because we were so intently interested I hope we didn’t bore you or stretch your knowledge too much with our constant questions 😂. You said there are plans to open up the underbuild to extend the museum and exhibit even more artefacts. So, when that is completed I hope to make another visit. A tip for the Resort in addition to the reception renovated the rooms and threw those beds from back pain, mine from when it was old was sunken.

#falladventures #naturalwonders #familytravel READ THIS. Golden Bay is a beautiful stop. It’s got a really nice and not expensive restaurant by the car park and public toilets. However - when it’s windy it can be very dangerous in the water. In the 4 hours we were there we witnessed 4 people getting recused by the heroic deck chair operator who deserves a medal!! And a further 4 people who managed to get back to shore themselves but clearly shook up. The way the bay is shaped means a riptides forms in the middle of the beach. The waves look frothy but there is a big undercurrent which pulls you out quickly. It shouldn’t stop you going but be careful. We were surprised there were no warnings or lifeguards on duty. I don’t want to put anyone off as it’s a popular stop but be careful when it’s windy!
