Victory Kiss
The "Victory Kiss" is a very famous thing in the United States. It is a kiss that took place in Times Square, New York on August 14, 1945. At that time, Japan announced its unconditional surrender, and New Yorkers took to the streets to celebrate the victory. A sailor kissed a female nurse next to him during the celebration in Times Square. This moment was captured by Alfred Eisenstaedt, a photographer for Life magazine, and became a classic historical picture handed down from generation to generation. Since then, hundreds of men and women have recreated the "Victory Day Kiss" in Times Square on August 14 every year to commemorate the end of World War II. This huge statue in front of the aircraft carrier was built based on the true restoration of this famous photo.
