I was fortunate to see the exhibition of illustrator James Jean before it ended. I have to say, Jean is really admirable. He is also the cover illustrator for DC Comics. Sea World is a the hub of Shekou in Nanshan, Shenzhen. The area is a hub for food, drink and shopping and draws a lot of expats due to it’s big selection of western food joints. The area is built around a refurbish French cruise ship, built in 1968 - the ship sits in a big body of water that is surrounding by a walkway, gardens and restaurants. The area is busy over the weekends especially if the weather is good, there are lots of places with outdoor seating and happy hours to help enjoy the weekend. You can get to the area via the Sea World metro stop or by walking along the Shenzhen Bay park as it finishes a the bottom end of Sea world. Sea world is within walking distance of Nanshan mountain and it’s a great place to relax after hiking the mountain for the views out over Shenzhen bay and Hong Kong. There are play areas and arcade games for children and also a culture and arts museum opened in partnership with the V&A museum in London. I was always dreaming about the UDA and Miami but actually, in Shekou, you have it all 😎 When you go to shekou, Sea world place, you have a park all along the dock where you can walk, chill, take a cup of coffee or whatever. Located in Shekou, sea world is like a little world of its own. Getting there is easy by metro, one of the exits lead right into the middle of the plaza. It's pretty close to the sea and has a great view. I was lucky to see the sun rise and it was amazing. If you're into Mexican food or always wanted to try it I recommend the Tequila Coyote's Mexican Food and Grill, had the chicken tacos 🌮 and it was 🤤. There are plenty other restaurants to try, plus shopping mall. You can just kick back and enjoy the view or hang with friends, great spot for that.

Shenzhen is a beautiful and lively city. It's always great seeing the beach. Shenzhen has some beautiful beaches, it's a shame it was a little cloudy. There is a walkway from Xiaomeisha to Dameisha along the coastline, it has really beautiful scenery! Xiaomeisha was closed due to construction these days. Sea world has many restaurants and lots of western restaurants. I recommend going there. There is also an amazing Turkish restaurant called 'Bus Grill', the food here was amazing and the owners were extremely friendly. It's a great atmosphere. At night there are also some bars along the street. You can do some bar hopping and experience the nightlife. Shenzhen is amazing! I hope to come here more often!
