Traces at Puncak Senja
That morning, the air at the foot of Mount Prau was still biting. The dew clings to the leaves, and the thin fog hangs low. Me and my three best friends Dina, Reza, and Andi have prepared with a carrier full of logistics and enthusiasm.
The journey started from the basecamp with enthusiastic steps. At first, the hiking trail felt light, surrounded by pine forests and the occasional sound of birds greeting. But towards noon, slope after slope began to test stamina. The breath was chasing, the legs felt heavy, but every time we stopped, the beautiful scenery seemed to pay for all the tiredness.
After about four hours of climbing, we arrived at the camp area near the top. The sky began to turn orange, and the clouds slowly thinned, opening the curtain towards the sun that was starting to set. We sat on the mats, staring at the expanse of hills and valleys that looked like living paintings.
When the twilight swept the sky with a golden orange color, Dina said softly, "The tire is gone by all this." We laughed, realizing that it was not the most beautiful peak, but the journey and togetherness that we felt.
The night came with a starry sky, and we spent time in front of a small bonfire, telling stories, laughing, and enjoying the warmth of tea in the getting colder air. The next day, before sunrise, we climbed to the top. And there, with our eyes facing east, we welcome the new dawn with a heart full of gratitude.#aprilblooms#naturalwonders #familytravel #travel
