Japan's Mount Fuji Kawaguchiko|200+ per capita, great environment for Robatayaki at the foot of Mount Fuji
Kawaguchiko's Robatayaki is located in a wooden building with a history of more than 150 years. The carefully decorated environment is full of Japanese characteristics and looks "very expensive".
It is said that many locals hold weddings here. Usually, the average price of Robatayaki in Hong Kong is around 1,000 per person, but here it is only over 200 per person. You must come and experience it.
The wooden door is decorated with lanterns, and the courtyard is decorated with small bridges, flowing water and green gardens. The store is paved with traditional tatami, and there are many traditional Japanese antiques. It feels like traveling through time, and the photo-taking rate is very high.
There are 4 packages to choose from (p6), and we chose the first two to try. First, we were served exquisite appetizers, followed by a plate of various fresh ingredients. We watched as they caught the fish from the fish pond at the door, and it was still alive and kicking when it was served.
The clerk will teach you how to grill in English. It is similar to BBQ in Hong Kong, but the charcoal fire is not as strong. It was a very interesting experience to chat around the charcoal fire, observe the state of the food, and adjust it yourself with gloves.
The beef skewer in the 5500 yen set meal was very delicious! (p12) It should be a high-quality steak. Brother Cong sealed the edges when grilling it, and the heat was just right. It was fragrant and juicy 😋 The other ingredients were fresh. After grilling, they were simply seasoned with sauce, mainly to taste the original flavor of the ingredients.
When it is almost done, a pot of miso wide noodles will be served, which contains pumpkin and cabbage and has a light and simple taste. (If you’re not full after eating Robatayaki, a pot of noodles will always fill you up, right?) Finally, there was a Japanese dessert, which tasted very average. (p13)
🌟It is important to note that this restaurant closes at 6pm. We were turned away the night before... And they do not accept reservations. The clerk said you can come in at 11am tomorrow.
So we arrived before 11am, wrote our names on the paper at the door, and walked around. Although the restaurant is big, the food is served very slowly, so you need to wait a long time.
In general, experiencing the tradition and environment is more important than the taste, and it also tests your control of the heat. Slow down and experience a barbecue and tea around the fire during your trip.
