The traditional architecture, elegant courtyards, and intricate carvings make it a great place to learn about the city’s cultural heritage ✨ For the best photos, we recommend taking pictures under the red lanterns or near the stone architecture, they create a beautiful contrast with the temple’s wooden structures 🪵 📍Jianyang Confucian Temple, Wenmiao Street, Jianyang, Sichuan, China A trip to Jianyang wouldn’t be complete without tasting its famous Jianyang Mutton Soup 🍲 We visited a local restaurant where the broth was rich and flavorful, with tender mutton and fresh herbs 🌿 The best way to enjoy it is with a side of crispy flatbread. We highly recommend trying this local specialty, it’s one of the best meals we had on our trip 💯 📍Laozihao Jianyang Mutton Soup We then hiked up Longquan Mountains ⛰️ a scenic area with panoramic views of the city and surrounding countryside. The fresh mountain air and lush greenery made the climb completely worth it. The best photo spot is at the peak, where you can capture the rolling hills stretching into the distance. Sancha Lake is similar to Qiandao Lake with many small islands! The best viewing spot is the Ma'anshan Viewing Platform where you can overlook Sancha Lake! Catching good weather, it's especially beautiful and photogenic! I personally think that the second floor of the viewing platform is really great for taking photos. There are a few glass houses on the shore that are cafes with a petty bourgeoisie atmosphere! Drinking coffee and eating simple meals (and the key is the prices are affordable)!! Fun Fact: Did you know that Lake Sancha is actually a man-made lake? I always thought it was a natural lake, it really doesn't have any traces of human intervention. This hydraulic project is quite significant, being the second largest artificial lake in Sichuan Province, and the key question is how were so many islands excavated? We took a sightseeing boat around the lake, which took about 40 minutes, and the scenery was really nice, with lots of water birds and a superb ecosystem. If you drive yourself, it's even better, as you can drive around the lake and stop to enjoy the beautiful views whenever you want.
