This Samut Prakan City Observation Tower is built on an area of over 13 rai. The building is approximately 179 meters high. Construction began in 2012 to be a learning center. It is named the Gulf of Thailand Learning Park. It is a center of information about the province in all aspects and is a new tourist attraction that will be open to the public.
Inside the building, there are exhibitions about Samut Prakan. At the top is a tower, which is a viewpoint for viewing the city. You can see the Chao Phraya River and the Gulf of Thailand. There are also views of Phra Samut Chedi, Phom Phisuea Samut, the green areas of Bang Kachao, Phra Chulachomklao Fort, and the Erawan Elephant Museum.
Places to visit inside the Samut Prakan City Observation Tower
The park is divided into 4 zones. The first zone is the Children's Museum, which emphasizes integrated learning, allowing children to have fun and do things by themselves. It uses modern exhibitions to help with children's imagination and creativity.
The second zone is the Samut Prakan Museum, which collects the history of Samut Prakan Province, important historical sites, important people, and local wisdom. and important tourist attractions in the province, displayed through various forms of media.
The third zone is the library. This is a collection of books and other modern teaching media, such as music and movies, so that everyone can come and study the history of this province. And the last zone is the observation tower, located on the top floor of the building. It is a 360-degree viewpoint of Paknam through clear glass. You can see the view as far as the sea at the mouth of the Gulf of Thailand.
It is a viewpoint of the province where we can see the urban plan of the Gulf of Thailand, the pig stomach forest or Bang Krachao. The highlight of Samut Prakan Observation Tower is at night because the building of this observation tower is decorated with beautiful lights in many colors. How to get to Samut Prakan Observation Tower
You can take Sukhumvit Road from Bang Na Intersection and go straight towards Samut Prakan Province until you reach the Paknam City Hall intersection. Then go straight into the city. Then, after passing the front of the Samut Prakan Provincial Land Office, turn left at the alley next to the Land Department. Then enter the alley and go straight for about 100 meters, you will reach the Samut Prakan City Hall. For buses, take lines 25, 536, 511, 142, 102 and 145. Or if you prefer the BTS, get off at Pak Nam BTS station.
