Sam Phan Bok, Thailand's Grand Canyon
"Sam Phan Bok" does not mean that there are three thousand people waving their hands, but it means "wave". In Lao language, it means "basin". "Sam Phan Bok" therefore means three thousand holes or rock grooves. It is a group of sandstone that has been exposed to natural water flow for thousands of years until it has formed rock grooves of different sizes and widths of tens of meters, becoming countless beautiful and unusual basins scattered on the surface of the stone field along the Mekong River on both the Thai and Lao sides, covering a distance of more than 5 kilometers. Wow, will you be able to walk all of them? Let's test your courage.
📍World-class check-in points of the Sam Phan Bok Grand Canyon
1. "Dog Head Rock" It depends on the eyes of each person. Let's just say that you have to find it.
2. Another popular spot is "Emerald Pool", a large pool. Or locals call it "Bung Nam Sai", with beautiful emerald green water.
3. The cute and adorable waving parts are "star-shaped waving", "heart-shaped waving" and "Mickey Mouse-shaped waving". In addition, there are many different shapes, depending on the eyes and imagination of the visitors.
✔️A little advice is that the best time to visit Sam Phan Bok is when the water dries up, around November-June only. If you are going to visit, do not go in the wrong season, because if you go in the wrong season, you will only see waving in the water. And the best time to visit is during the winter, January to early February.
You should go in the morning from sunrise until around 10:00 a.m. or in the evening from 3:00 p.m. until sunset. It is not hot and the light is beautiful like a studio shot.
❗ Be careful, the path is quite dangerous. It is easy to fall or trip. Please wear non-slip shoes and walk carefully.

Three thousand holes where you can really take three thousand photos.
Today we will introduce you to a place that everyone has heard of and is famous in the northeast and takes great photos. However, some people have never been there to experience the atmosphere and beauty of nature here. This place is #SamphanBok. This place is in Ubon Ratchathani Province. It is right on the banks of the Mekong River. In the evening, the light is very good. I recommend taking photos if you want beautiful photos. SamphanBok is not an exaggeration to say that you will get three thousand photos. I would like everyone to find a place to stay near Khong Chiam because it is quite far from the city. The hotel in this trip is very economical. I recommend it. #trip

Sam Phan Bok 2566
Actually, I've been here once before, in 2015
and came back again in 2023. It's changed a lot.
It may not feel exciting or wow like the first time I came, until I met the local guide.
I sat on the boat with him, he was very cute, explained everything along the way.
He's also very good at taking pictures, finding angles and helping to think of poses.
Just give him your mobile phone camera and you'll get beautiful pictures. It's great.
Come and visit. You'll definitely get pictures. It's really good.

Sam Phan Bok, a natural sculpture that you must visit at least once
The rapids under the Mekong River in Pho Sai District, Ubon Ratchathani Province, were created by the whirlpools that repeatedly eroded until they became amazing natural sculptures with different shapes. There are more than 3,000 of them. Isan people call these holes or basins "Bok", which is the origin of the name "Sam Phan Bok". It is recommended to visit during the dry season. When the Mekong River recedes, the sandbar on the rapids in the middle of the Mekong River will appear. #unseenthailand #beautifulphotographplaces #natureattractions #summerattractions #ubonratchathaniattractions #mustvisitphotographers #mekongriver #highlights #samphanbok #wheretogoinubon #ubonratchathani
