[Thailand Samsang Island] About 3 hours from Bangkok! A hidden gem not yet well known to foreigners💥
Samae San Island is an island managed by the Thai Navy, located about 3 hours by car from Bangkok, Thailand, and about 1 hour south of Pattaya Beach.
The number of people who can visit per day is limited, so it is a truly hidden resort where you can relax and enjoy a quiet time without being overcrowded. 🏝️
The entrance fee (including round-trip boat fare) is 300 baht (about 1,300 yen) for Thais and 600 baht (about 2,600 yen) for foreigners, but the fee has been increasing every year, so it is not yet well known among foreigners! ️It is a highly recommended remote island resort. 💥
The island has only one beach, a restaurant and a small shop, and you can enjoy water activities such as kayaking and snorkeling, as well as beach volleyball.
The view point at the top of the slightly steep hill is spectacular, so it's a must-visit spot☝️
It's not a big island, but it's a recommended resort for those who want to avoid crowds and spend a relaxing, comfortable, and quiet time🐠🏖️🛳️
✅How to get to the island
It takes about 3 hours by car from Bangkok to the boat pier at Khao Ma Jo Pier.
From the boat pier, it takes about 10 minutes by boat to reach Koh Same San. Once you arrive on the island, a free shuttle car will take you to the beach.
✅Various fees
Kayak 100 baht per hour (about 450 yen)
Snorkeling 50 baht (about 225 yen)
Beach chair 30 baht (about 135 yen)
Restaurant meal about 100 baht (about 450 yen)
The earliest boat in the morning is from 9am on weekdays and 8:30am on weekends and holidays, but be careful as it fills up quickly on weekends and holidays⚠️
I went on a weekday, but arrived around 8:30am and was able to board the 9am boat.
To avoid going all the way to the island and not being able to go because it's full, I think it's safer to apply for a tour in advance👌
In addition, the last boat back is at 4pm on weekdays and 4:30pm on weekends and holidays, and there are no accommodations on the island, so you cannot stay overnight🚫
