#myhiddengems
This beautiful temple is the Sam Poh Tong Cave Temple in Ipoh… and stepping in its grounds make me envision being lost in some adventure expedition in China..
Sam Poh Tong is a famous cave temple located in Gunung Rapat, about 5km south of Ipoh, and comes featuring an interesting cave temple and beautiful ornamental gardens but the additional charm of being run down gives the temple some character….

Sam Poh Tong Temple
The Sam Poh Tong Temple is the most famous of three temples that stand adjacent to each other. Each of the temples have their own characteristic and uniqueness, so all are worth a visit. However the Sam Poh Tong Temple has a hidden tortoise sanctuary inside it. As you enter the temple which is nested inside a cave, you go further inside and it leads out to an opening on the other end. It opens up to a beautiful garden with a fountain and a temple with the tortoise sanctuary just beside it. One can feed them with tomatoes if interested.

Built in a limestone cave
This is Ipoh’s oldest temple built within natural limestone cave. Nestled among nature, you can see monkeys, waterlily in fish pond at this temple.
Your visit here can be just walking around the garden, cave and its tunnel.
Be careful when it is raining as the floor can be slippery.
Worth to engage a driver to reach this place as it is not very accessible by public transport.

Sam Poh Tong Temple
It's unique and mystic scenery surroundings makes one feel like you have traveled back in time, in this historical place. One of the best place I find is the inviting yet enticing is the cave opening. Beautifully landscape garden surrounding the large pond. The tall pagoda building is another add feature, where I find it mesmerizing.

the Taoist & Buddhists Temple In Ipoh
If you are someone religious or just want to go for sight seeing you can go to the Lin Seng Tong Temple and the Sam Poh Tong Temple which is both a toaists/Buddhists Temple located side by side at Kampung Gunung Rapat, 31350 Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia.
Sam Poh Tong Temple is known for its limestone caves as the Temple is built either under it or within it. There is a turtle pong here filled with turtles where you can feed them, this is just right after the Sam Poh Tong cave entrance.
Lin Seng Tong Temple is a Temple filled with many structures of deities and many other beautiful struture which I believe is a representative of what is the afterlife when you move on as a Buddhists.
These 2 places is a tourists attractions and do not require an entrance fee to enter, but do recommended to provide some donations as to support the upkeep of the place here.

Sam Poh Tong Temple @Ipoh
Sam Poh Tong temple is a Chinese temple, one of the oldest temples in Ipoh. The temple is unique, built surrounded by the limestone cave mountain.
At the front of the temple, there is a large pond landscape with many fishes inside, and it's decorated with a mini version of the Zhangjiajie avatar cliff.
Visitors can make wishes and pray by lighting the candles and joystick for a small fee. Another activity is feeding the turtles with tomatoes; the turtle's pond is located at the back of the temple by access through the cave tunnel.
Here is also another temple standing beautifully surrounded by limestone caves. I wonder how this temple was built because it is surrounded by limestone.
Open from 7 am to 2.30 pm.
Address: Kampung Gunung Rapat, 31350 Ipoh, Perak.

The Oldest & Main Cave Temple - Sam Poh Tong Temple
#malaysiatrip
A very beautiful place with a beautiful landscape at Ipoh for locals and devotees from abroad. Really eyes-catches. A huge, serene temple surrounded by limestone. Love the hidden temple inside the cave where you have to walk towards the end to access it.
Easy parking on the kerb. The front garden of the temple is beautiful. You can feed turtles here.
The old temple out the back of the cave feels like a secret.

The moment you step into the Sam Poh Tong Temple Area, you will see the beauty of the garden surrounding a large koi pond. With the green scenery and blooming flowers surrounding it, it makes your senses feel as if it becomes one with nature and your head will be refreshed. Other than the entrance, the rear of the cave also becomes a favorite for the visitor. It is where the beautiful Japanese-style pagoda and the turtle pond are located. Surrounded by the natural cliff makes a breathtaking environment.#temple #ipoh

🇲🇾Sam Poh Tong Turtles & Temple Mysteries
I just had the most incredible experience at Sam Poh Tong in Ipoh, and I couldn't wait to tell you about it! 🏯🐢
This hidden gem is a stunning cave temple nestled within the limestone hills. As soon as you enter, you're greeted by a serene atmosphere that's hard to describe. The natural beauty combined with the temple's history makes it an unforgettable visit. What's truly unique about this place is the pond filled with adorable turtles. They seem to have made Sam Poh Tong their home, and watching them is strangely therapeutic. I could have spent hours just observing their antics.
Speaking of history, Sam Poh Tong has a fascinating story. It's said to be an abandoned tin-mining cave that was transformed into a temple, and the atmosphere inside definitely reflects that blend of the natural and spiritual. The temple is adorned with intricate statues and altars that add to the mystical vibe.
I can't recommend it enough. If you're ever in the area, don't miss out on Sam Poh Tong. It's a peaceful oasis with a touch of mystery that you'll want to explore. You'll leave feeling inspired and a bit more connected to the culture and history of Ipoh.
