Sakushima Island
#AichiTrip
I went to Sakushima in Nishio City, Aichi Prefecture.
To get there, take a 20-minute boat ride from Isshiki Port at Isshiki Sakana Square to Sakushima West Port.
Sakushima has two ports, West Port and East Port, but if you want to go to the famous "Ohirune House" or "Kurokabe Village", use West Port. If you want to go to a guesthouse or the beach, use East Port. It's a 5-minute ferry ride from West Port to East Port.
For lunch, I decided to fill my stomach before going to Sakushima, so I had a seafood bowl at Restaurant Kaisen-an at Isshiki Sakana Square.
The sashimi was fresh and delicious.
I relaxed until the ferry time.
When I arrived at Sakushima, there was a bicycle rental shop, but I decided not to rent one because many of the roads were unpaved.
I looked at the map I got at the ferry terminal and went around the photo spots. There was a line to take photos at the popular "Ohirune House," so I took this photo from a distance.
On the way back, I bought some frozen eel at Isshiki Sakana Hiroba. It was plump, cheap, and very tasty, so I recommend it.
