#Sakura2024 Miyoshino Shrine was built in 1624 by the lord of Kawagoe Castle, Sakai Tadashi, as the guardian deity of Kawagoe Castle. As more and more cherry blossom spots are appearing on Google Maps, I started to think about whether I could go to Kansai this year. Of all the picturesque places in Kansai, the one I most want to visit is the Fushimi Shishi boat in Kyoto. The cherry blossom benches and roof-shaped boats here are a big dream. However, I noticed that I took similar cherry blossom photos on the new riverbank in Kawagoe. The river here is relatively narrow, but you can still see the boats with tourists on them. coedo, is so amazing. I could eat the food there every day and not get sick of it. would love to go there again soon! I would imagine the locals living don't get tired of the food either. I enjoyed my first authentic dango as well, sweet soy sauce and savory. the sweet potato chips were crisp and sweet , not too oily at all in fact. the dango were chewy and firm at the same time, amazing 🤩

Kawagoe is known as little edo as it has an area which preserves all the edo houses. This is where you get a chance to see a glimpse of the historical buildings in Japan. It’s a day trip out of central Japan, about 45mins train ride from Shinjuku. The place definitely gives out a quaint small town vibe, peaceful and definitely lesser crowd compared to other more famous attractions in the central Japan. One of the #mustvisit is the Starbucks! It is designed in the tradition warehouse style which blends in so nicely with the rest of the buildings. It has a outdoor section behind which customers can get a drink and sit to enjoy the lovely weather. There are also shops around which sells delicious snacks.
