We had some bad luck with the weather—Mount Fuji was hiding in the clouds during our entire road trip around the Five Lakes. Today, I will take you to see the atmosphere of Kawaguchiko, Mt. Fuji. It was a trip in July, so there was some rain. I took the train from Tokyo to Kawaguchiko Station. Then I bought a ticket for a cable car to go up the mountain on the opposite side of the lake. You will see the green Mt. Fuji in the distance and the beautiful city and lake. It is a different feeling from when it snows. If anyone comes during the rainy season or July, try to stop by. It is a different atmosphere from returning during the festival when there are a lot of people. #japantravel #fujisan #traveljapan

I never thought I'd visit Lake Saiko, one of the Fuji Five Lakes, in winter. Unlike when I visited in early autumn, the nearby river was frozen over, probably due to the biting cold. There were no trees or flowers in bloom, but the cold air allowed me to see Mt. Fuji in all its beauty. #YamanashiPrefecture #WorldHeritage #Mt.Fuji

#2024wish It is not as large, and I read that mainly because there is only one vantage point for Mount Fuji on the northwestern tip of Lake Saiko, it is much less touristy than Lake Kawaguchiko. Beautiful views abound from around the Lake. I feel that the mountains around the lake are no less beautiful in their verdant green, as opposed to the elusive Mount Fuji. Indeed an awesome part of the Japanese alps. It is soothing to view the lake as the scenery changes as the bus winds along its perimeter. In 2024, I want to be back here.

Getting There - express bus from Shibuya mark city bus station Attractions - Mt.Fuji lakesides views, skiing,heeling Hotels - Kawaguchiko lakeside hotel Food & Restaurants - didnt find a great one at there Shopping - right infront of the Kawaguchiko station, cross the street.

Fujikawaguchiko has 2 famous lakes. One is the famed Lake Kawaguchi and the the other is a rather peculiar lake surrounded by luxurious hotels and amusement parks. Saiko Lake is rather small compared to Lake Kawaguchi, but it still offers a lot to tourists. It is very pretty during Autumn because it is surrounded by mountains that have countless Maple Trees.
