Journey Through Peru’s Sacred Valley with a Local Guide
#localtourguides
Traveling through Peru’s Sacred Valley with a knowledgeable guide was an unforgettable experience. From the ruins of Pisac to the ancient terraces of Ollantaytambo, my local guide enriched the journey by sharing stories of Incan history, local traditions, and Andean spirituality. We even visited a traditional weaving community to learn about ancient textile techniques. Without my guide’s insider knowledge, I would have missed out on these cultural treasures. If you’re visiting Peru, a local guide will help you connect deeply with the history and soul of this mystical region. #100WaysofTravel #PeruExplorations #LocalTourGuides

The Sacred Valley is the Urubamba River Valley area that must be passed through when traveling from Cusco to Machu Picchu. The environment here is very suitable for growing crops, providing a source of food for the people of the Inca Empire. Therefore, they regarded the valley as a sacred place bestowed by the heavens, hence the name 'The Sacred Valley.' The ruins are mostly distributed on the mountains, while the villages of the Inca people are scattered in the river valley below.
The Sacred Valley is located between the towns of Písac and Ollantaytambo, about 100 kilometers apart, and boasts stunning views of the Andes Mountains. The local Quechua people retain many ancestral customs and rituals.

Welcome to the unique Chinchero in Peru
Chinchero, in Inca culture, is the place where the rainbow is born, and Chinchero has always been known as the weaving capital of Peru. It is located between Machu Picchu and Cusco, and because the Urubamba River is considered a sacred river, the valley is called the Sacred Valley. This was the main settlement of the Incas in the Andes Valley during the Inca Empire. The town is small and is a place that everyone who participates in the Sacred Valley group will not miss. This is the first stop of the Sacred Valley day tour.
🌟Town Highlights
1️⃣ Iglesia Colonial de Chinchero: The town church, the murals are very exquisite;
2️⃣ Mercado de Chinchero: Chinchero market, every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday will set up stalls in the square in front of the church, you can also see the scene of local villagers exchanging their own goods here;
3️⃣ Centro de Textiles Tradicionales: The best handicraft shop in the town;

🚉Travel Strategy:
Most tourists will choose the Chinchero+Moray Terraces+Salinas Salt Pans+Ollantaytambo one-way day tour departing from Cusco. This kind of day tour usually ends at Ollantaytambo at 14:30. You can take the subsequent train after 15:00 to Aguas Calientes at the foot of Machu Picchu; stay overnight in Aguas Calientes, and start your Machu Picchu itinerary the next day.
●Travel agencies in the streets and alleys of Cusco can provide such day tours, the price is about 70-90 soles, depending on your bargaining power.

This magical Andean highland town is located in the small town of Sipaquila in the Andes Mountains, more than 50 kilometers north of downtown Bogot.
For centuries, the people of the town have been with the white mountains for generations, and they have formed an infinite friendship. These white salt mountains stretch for 500 kilometers and their rich salt reserves are available for 5.3 billion people on our planet for 100 years. Salt mines have made the town increasingly prosperous and prosperous. With the crystallization of white mountains the consumption of edible salt and chemical products, the town of Sipaquila is also well known.
At the beginning of the 16th century, the Spaniards, who were conquerors of the American continent, crossed the jungle and turned over the mountains to the white mountains of the plateau. This fertile salt mine resource has made the colonists from Europe covet. They plundered the salt mine resources and rushed the Indians down. Under the whipping of the whip, the Indian salt workers used the most primitive tools to dig and dig in the tunnel well under the dim candlelight. This is an extremely difficult hard labor. The air in the well is turbid, the landslides and poisonous gas occur from time to time, and the salt water is eroded, causing the bruises of the Indian salt workers to be scarred. The shadow of death is threatening them from time to time. The spiritual sustenance to get rid of suffering is to plead for the protection of the gods. Therefore, the salt workers have set up a prayer altar in the tunnel with tears. Here, they can tell the hardships of life, comfort the suffering soul, and comfort the unfortunate body.
JOJO’s wonderful trip.
Peru's cliff transparent capsule hotel, want to stay and learn to climb. After 20 minutes of rock climbing, you can arrive at the reception. On the way back from Machu Picchu through the Holy Valley, I saw a guest. More importantly, this hotel is not cheap.
