Unplan trip to Hanamomo-no-Sato!! You all know , I don’t like crowded place and always try to look out for peaceful and remote places doesn’t matter how far I need to work 😆😆!! Then I came to know this little secret place. Is not so straightforward journey like other places . I need to take train from Sendai to Fukushima by JR line ( covered by JR pass ) , then change to local private line called Iizaka railway- 370 ¥ one way (cute and very old local private train line - solely that small region) and took until terminal and walk about 20 mins to the place . But , they have small map to the place and along the road have signage to guide you the direction . When you are near, there were some volunteers guiding along the traffic. It was really local small place to enjoy late flowers . It will be very beautiful in few days time , even now was beautiful to me . Some colourful cherry plus peach flowers combined and the mountains background make me paradise!! And you don’t need to pay anything . They sell some local delicacies and I enjoy some tea and walk around , sat down and enjoy flowers and walked back to the station. It took me half day. I was actually planning to go to Yamagata, but the Shinkansen was delayed on the way and I couldn't transfer properly, so I had to stay there at the last minute!! It was clean and easy to use, but the room was a little noisy, and I could hear the sound of the person next door going to the toilet or the vibrating sound of their smartphone, so it was a little annoying that I couldn't sleep because of the noise. Iwaya Kannon is a temple rebuilt by Terumoto Mori. The hall is an important cultural property designated by the state. Mount Issaikyo rises in Urabandai between Fukushima City and Inawashiro Town in Fukushima Prefecture. It is an active volcano with an elevation of 1,949m, and as its name suggests, it is said to have originated in Buddhism. Looking down from the summit of Mount Issaikyo is the dazzling lapis lazuli pond, commonly known as the Witch's Eye. Please note that this is different from the Goshikinuma pond in Inawashiro, Urabandai. The Witch's Eye surrounded by autumn leaves was a breathtaking sight! In front of Issaikyozan stands Azuma-Kofuji, about 1,700m above sea level. This is a dormant volcano and you can walk around the crater. It takes about 2 hours from the trailhead, Jododaira Visitor Center, to the summit. It's a perfect beginner's course for a day trip, so I recommend it. Photo on Oct 12th 2023 This is called 'Goshiki-numa pond ', which is a volcanic lake and also well-known as 'the Witch's Eyes', looking off from the peak of Mt. Issai-Kyozan that situated in near Lake Inawashiro, Fukushima prefecture, the TOHOKU region of Japan with 1,949m above sea level. A stunningly-azure lake with the peak of fall foliage perfectly made me feel touched when I visited in the clear sky without cloud and wind. Made me so happy.
