I went to Ryuzu Falls, one of the three most famous waterfalls in Nikko. If you go through the inside of Ryuzu Teahouse and go out onto the terrace, you can get a beautiful view of Ryuzu Falls. You can also eat while admiring the waterfall. If you want to see the autumn leaves in mid-October, in addition to going to Hokkaido, you can also consider going to Nikko City, which is more than 2 hours away from Tokyo 😝 Asakusa, skytree and Shinjuku can be reached by Tobu train, very convenient! 👍🏻👍🏻 I have been paying attention to the autumn foliage information during my visit. Nikko just amazed me! I didn't expect that a 2-3 hour train trip from Tokyo could take me to such beautiful snowy scenaries with temples, lakes, mountains and waterfalls! What a beautiful surprise 😍

Getting There - Local train/express Train (Tobu Railway) or Tohoku Shinkansen (more expensive but much faster!) Attractions - Shinkyo bridge Nikko National Park Toshogu Temple, Kegon Falls Lake of Chuzenji Ryuzu Falls. Food & Restaurants - Age-Yuba (Manju) at Sakaeya Nikko just opposite the train station (I had 4!) Yuba-Fusubi from Fudaraku Honpo is very good too! Tried their hot Amazuke (sweet sake)at Kegon Falls which suits the cold weather ! Souvenirs: Plenty of options to buy from Shops near the station Lake of chuzenji and Ryuzu falls. I would rate this place as one of a-must-go-place just outside Tokyo!

#trip Domestic Travel / A tour of autumn leaves surrounded by silence 🍁 ⸝⋆⸝⋆ ＼ Looking for autumn in Oku-Nikko 🍂 I went on a hiking trip to the famous Ryuzu Falls, Lake Yunoko, and Lake Nishinoko from Akanuma Parking Lot in Nikko City, Tochigi Prefecture, using a low-emission bus to Lake Nishinoko and Senjugahama. Many parts of the larch forest had fallen leaves, but the autumn leaves were simply moving to enjoy with my eyes ⸝⋆⸝⋆ I was soothed by the colorful autumn leaves. There were hardly any tourists, so I was able to spend a relaxing time in a quiet place where I could only hear the sounds of nature, such as birdsong and animal cries. The autumn leaves were at their best, and Lake Nishinoko in particular calmed my mind every time I came here. Nature gave me power. Seeing beautiful scenery calms my mind. It was a good trip.

Ryuzu Falls in Nikko flows over 210 meters of lava created by the eruption of Mt. Nantai! #fallishere I'm amazed all over again! 😍 Take a look at this waterfall. Doesn't it resemble something? Yes, it is dragon-like appearance. Ryuzu means Dragon Head, and they have a dragon fighting a tiger sculpture outside. You can come see the view for free, and there is a small souvenir shop and cafe.
