Skip Lake Kawaguchi and Head to This Hidden Spot for Stunning Mount Fuji Cherry Blossoms 🌸🏔️
#cherryblossom25
When you think of Mount Fuji, many people immediately think of the northern area around Lake Kawaguchi. However, the temperature there is still cold, and the cherry blossoms aren't quite at their best yet due to recent snow. I recommend heading to the southern side of Mount Fuji, where there are plenty of great cherry blossom spots to explore.
My top recommendation is Ryugan Falls near Irimazuse Station. On clear days, the cherry blossoms here are absolutely breathtaking. The forecast looks great, with sunny days ahead—so if you're looking to capture those stunning photos of Mount Fuji with cherry blossoms, now’s the perfect time to go. Otherwise, you'll have to wait until next year! 🌸
Location: Ryugan Falls (潤井川龍巖淵) or Takido Bridge
How to Get There: From Irimazuse Station, it's just an 8-minute walk to the spot. 🚶♀️
This hidden gem offers fantastic views of Mount Fuji with cherry blossoms in full bloom, and it’s a much quieter alternative to the more crowded spots around Lake Kawaguchi. Don't miss out on this perfect springtime experience! 🌸

Chill life in Shizuoka: A spring stroll under Mt. Fuji’s cherry blossoms
#cherryblossom25
On the morning of April 5th, I headed to Ryuganbuchi (龙岩渊) for a peaceful spring outing and cherry blossom viewing. I was super lucky — the visibility was perfect and I got a full, unobstructed view of Mt. Fuji! 🗻
This spot is mostly visited by local photographers and nearby residents, so it’s still a bit of a hidden gem. I absolutely loved the tranquil countryside vibe — fewer people, everything clean and quiet. Cows were basking in the sun by the river, and walking under full-bloom sakura trees felt like a dream. Pure chill.
🌸 Cherry Blossom Status:
Almost in full bloom! Not sure how many days it’ll last, so go soon if you can!
🚆 How to get there:
Take the JR line to Fuji Station,
Then transfer to the Gakunan Railway and stop at Iriyamase Station (入山濑駅)
From there, navigate to Takido Bridge, and it’s about a 10–15 minute walk to the viewing spot.
Highly recommend it if you want to escape the crowds and just soak up spring in the Japanese countryside 💮☁️
