The Exile Place of a National Hero!🇵🇭
#timetotravel
Dr. Jose Rizal is the National Hero of the Philippines who fought hard for the country's independence from Spain. The Rizal Park and Shrine is the place where he got exiled. The place reflects how Rizal lived a simple life where he built his own house which up to this day is still standing with some repairs. The Rizal Shrine will be forever be visited by a lot of Filipinos and foreigners who want to learn the history and life of Dr. Jose Rizal. Fun Fact, this wasn't the place where he initially settled. After a month landing in Dapitan City, Dr.Jose Rizal won the lottery in 1892 and used his money to purchase this place and turned it as his home. You don't need to pay to enter this hisotrical place. Address: Dapitan City, 2 km from the downtown area of the city. Enjoy the visit ! #mytripvlog #tripblazers #history #philippines

Dapitan to Remember!
It was first week of this year, 2022 when me and my cousin decided to go on a road trip from Davao City to Pagadian City to Dipolog and our last stop was Dapitan City. Being there for two days was extra fun since we were able to visit different places and one of them is The Jose Rizal Shrine which is located at Dapitan City.
The Jose Rizal Shrine was built to give honor to our National Hero, Jose P. Rizal. Getting inside the Shrine doesn't need an entrance fee however you need to pay environmental fee which is ₱15.00 per person and present your vaccination card (by that time)
This place really brought me back to my gradeschool years where we study the life of Jose Rizal, and even in college when I took my Humanities Subject about the Life and Works of Rizal. The images that I saw in my gradeschool textbooks to my google-researched materials in college brings to life. I was able to see them physically for REAL!! The House of Rizal was there and all the things that Jose Rizal had was displayed there as memorabilia of his works.
Everything there was nostalgic! That's why it is DAPITAN TO REMEMBER!

Rizal Shrine in Dapitan City
A trip to history with Dr. Pio Valenzuela and Dr. Jose Rizal.
Dr. Pio Valenzuela went to Dapitan City to convince Dr. Jose Rizal to support the revolution then being waged by the Katipunan, or the Kataas-taasan, Kagalang-galangang Katipunan ng mga anak ng Bayan (KKK), a revolutionary group formed for the Philippines to gain independence from Spain.
