When I mentioned Sanya for the summer, a friend recommended I check out Wanning. Riyue Bay boasts surf-able waves and a cool promenade lined with bars and restaurants overlooking the ocean. We spent 3 days here before heading to Sanya and I wish we had more time to enjoy the beaches. You could fly to Sanya and get a cab from Phoenix Int. airport or you could fly to Bo Ao airport and get a cab to Wanning (This was the cheaper option). Book a hotel near Riyue Bay or Shimei Bay. Cabs are easy and cheap. It rained quite a bit but the showers are short and pass very quickly. The people are wonderful and the food is delicious and reasonably priced. Ticket price is about 60¥. 🚖 from Wanning train station, take a taxi/didi to get to Riyue Bay which is about 25-30mins. ☑️There are tons of restaurants, coffee shops rooftop bars by the beach. You can walk along the road to enjoy the view and take photos.📸 ♥️This is my favorite area in Wanning. It is a perfect place to chill and unwind. 👍🏻 Highly recommended.
