Lotus Temple was moved here from Luozhong by the head of the Kaga Maeda family, Imaeda Kanyoshi, in the early Edo period. Lotus Temple has a lotus temple-shaped stone lantern with a hexagonal bamboo hat and a pond and spring ornamental garden made by Ishikawa Josan. The whole exudes a demure taste. The temple is very quiet, where you can listen to the ensemble of nature brought by the sound of birds and running water, and enjoy the beauty of red maples in autumn.

Kyoto | Unique Rengeji Temple: Meditate and Enjoy the Seasonal Garden.
Compared to other famous spots in Kyoto, Rengeji Temple is a small yet beautiful existence. There are no noisy tour groups, no vast grounds, just a tatami-floored study where you can sit and watch the garden change with the seasons.
Yes, to appreciate the Jodo-style garden, you must sit quietly and feel the sound of water and the rustling of leaves through the door frame. Once you step outside, photography is prohibited; you can only use your eyes to experience the beauty of the Japanese garden, which aims to present the Pure Land in the 'other shore.'
Originally located near Kyoto Station, Rengeji Temple was burned down during the Onin War and later rebuilt at its current location in Rakuhoku, with a high monk from Enryakuji Temple on Mount Hiei invited to establish it as a Tendai sect temple.
The torii gate at the entrance, the red leaves, and the golden ginkgo carpet create a charming scenery.
In early summer, the garden is lush green, and in winter, it is covered with white snow. If you want to visit Rengeji Temple, take the Eizan Electric Railway and get off at Miyake-Hachiman Station, then walk through the residential area to reach it.

A small te
A small temple, its time to go. When you enter the door, you will be attracted by the red leaves. The stone street is covered with orange maple leaves. Here you can't even hear the tourists whispering, as if the time is still, everyone wants to print this picture of nature. Into the mind.
