I will stay at this hotel again when I visit Nanning. It is comfortable and affordable!
Exploring Nanning with Kids: A Wonderful Stay at Renaissance Nanning Hotel
We took a high-speed train trip with our 7-month-old baby. This time, we visited Nanning, Guangxi, and stayed at Renaissance Nanning Hotel, which is known as the "Little W". The hotel offers great value for money and a wonderful experience!
Comfortable Accommodation
🏘️Room Layout: The room we stayed in had large floor-to-ceiling windows and a great view. The hotel also thoughtfully prepared a crib in advance, which is very friendly for families traveling with kids. There are only a limited number of suites at Renaissance, about seven or eight, so it is difficult to upgrade directly to an executive suite. The most common upgrade is to a 270-degree panoramic terrace room. The executive suite is well laid out and spacious, and is equipped with a capsule coffee machine and a Dyson hair dryer. The panoramic room has excellent lighting, with a view of the city outside the window, and a unique bathtub by the window.
🧹Soundproofing/Cleanliness: The hotel is well soundproofed, providing guests with a quiet environment to rest. The room was clean and tidy, making us feel at ease.
Comprehensive Facilities
🛌Facilities: The hotel has a 24-hour gym on the third floor, which is well-equipped, clean, and tidy. The swimming pool is also on the third floor, and the water is clear with no pungent smell of disinfectant. The hotel is also equipped with a delivery robot, making ordering takeout convenient and fast.
Delicious Dining
Breakfast: The breakfast is very rich, with a strong local flavor, and a variety of delicious food to whet your appetite.
Great Location
The hotel is located near the Wuxiang Headquarters Base, with a great location and convenient transportation. It is within walking distance of Metro Lines 3 and 4. It is a 20-minute drive from Nanning East Railway Station and a 30-minute drive from Nanning Wuxu Airport. There are many attractions nearby, including Nanning Night and Guangxi Museum of Art (3.6 km away), Qingxiu Mountain Scenic Area (4.2 km away), and Nanning Zoo (25 km away).
Nearby Attractions
🐒Nanning Zoo: Adult tickets are CNY 50, student tickets are CNY 25, child tickets are CNY 20, and babies and seniors over 65 are free. Elephant Park, Giraffe and Zebra House, and Black Bear Park are great places to take photos and interact with animals. You can take photos and feed the animals outside the fence. The animals are full of energy. Giraffe feed is CNY 20, and the photos are great!
🏝️Qingxiu Mountain Scenic Area: The shade plant garden is worth a visit. Enter from the north gate and turn right to reach it. There is a mist every 15 minutes, which ends at around 6 pm. The photo spot is very popular, and you need to queue if you arrive late. Remember to take precautions against the heat. The photos are forest-style and Instagram-worthy.
Food Recommendations
🍖When you come to Guangxi, you must try the snail noodles. The barbecue restaurant we walked into was surprisingly delicious. Gui Xiaochu is also very good, with delicious dishes and a convenient place to eat with kids.
Tips
💗Pay attention to hotel promotions in advance to book a room at a more favorable price. If you want to upgrade your room, you can contact the hotel when booking or before check-in. The hotel lounge, breakfast, and service can be improved, so be prepared.
Overall, Renaissance Nanning Hotel is decorated in a nightclub style similar to W, with elements of local Zhuang culture, and a unique design. Although there are some minor shortcomings, it is still a good choice for traveling with kids or for tourism, with great value for money, a comfortable environment, and a convenient location. The rich attractions and food resources nearby also add a lot of fun to the trip.
