Ramada Plaza Hong Kong North Point
The hotel is located at 88 Chun Yeung Street, North Point, a 5-7 minute walk from North Point MTR station. There is a market and tram station downstairs, so it feels a bit noisy and not very hygienic and comfortable! Also nearby is the M1 Hotel North Point.
The hotel's facade is decorated like a mainland hotel, and the hotel name is also in simplified Chinese. The reception is in the lobby, which is quite large, but not as luxuriously decorated as the Ramada Harbour View Hotel in Sai Ying Pun. Moreover, the hotel has a certain history and feels a bit dilapidated! Booking a room online through Trip.com, the check-in procedure is very simple. The hotel does not require a deposit. You can get the key card to the room by filling in simple information. Checking in and out is very quick and convenient!
The receptionist automatically updated the room to a larger 3-person room, so the room was bigger than expected and had enough space, but the interior decoration was still relatively traditional and a bit old. As you enter the door, you will see a set of kitchen cabinets with a range hood and a plate similar to an induction cooker, but it should be unusable. There is a washbasin and a small refrigerator in the kitchen cabinets. Because it is a triple room, there is a double bed and a single bed, but the bed feels a bit thin. Basic facilities such as bottled water, electric kettle, coffee tea bags and teacup sets, large wardrobe, safe, eco-friendly slippers, hair dryer, large TV, etc. are all available. There are enough power sockets in the room, and the desk even has a USB charging plug device, which is convenient for updating. However, there are no sockets and light switches near the bedside or bedside, which is not convenient enough and needs to be improved!
The bathroom is relatively small, but it has my favorite bathtub, which is shallow and not big, but big enough for a bath. Other toiletries and towels of all sizes are basically available.
The overall feeling is OK, and the price is reasonable. It is OK for simple accommodation, at least better than a hotel! However, there were tiny ants in the room, and the hygiene was still not good enough!
