#christmastrip Wayag islands are the farthest in Raja Ampat and understandably it takes quite a bit of a boat time to go there. We took 3 hours by fast boat. The hike to see the karst landforms heritage site of Wayag in West Papua is an awe-inspiring experience that will leave you in complete awe of nature's wonders. The hike is about 15 minutes on a steep and rough path. Depending on your fitness, it can range from easy to difficult. You do need to be extra careful as it is steep and the jagged karst is hard, sharp and slippery. You can wear gloves if you want. But it is worth it because once you get to the summit you'll be surrounded by clear blue waters and limestone karsts that create a surreal and breathtaking landscape. Reaching the summit of Wayag is a truly rewarding experience. From the top, you'll be greeted with panoramic views of the jagged karst formations jutting out of the turquoise sea. The sight is nothing short of mesmerizing, and you'll feel like you've stepped into a postcard or a scene from a fantasy movie. The sheer beauty and grandeur of this natural spectacle will take your breath away. Max and his team were the first to open a shop in Kri in a long time, and a few years ago in Sorido. They know everything about the area and nothing could be better. The resort infrastructure is built for the long term and the result is strong, sturdy, well-organized bungalows and social areas. From the sundeck on the pier, to the surrounding area, to the three sitting areas upstairs they can cater for it all. The dive sites are excellent, all at the end of the pier, with every detail cooked up. The only thing that could be improved is that the sundeck in the bungalow is made more open so people can sunbathe privately. On the first day Jutta asked us to let us know right away if anything was wrong, we stupidly waited a few days to complain about the water pressure and temperature thinking that's what it should be. So do as Jutta asks and let me know right away if anything goes wrong! The food was perfect, nice shared dinner for a small group. Max attends most of the dinners and enjoys listening. The dive guides were excellent, and the most famous Otto wasn't even present. Very experienced, really knows the reef, knows what each guest needs during the two dives and adapts to them. The location is perfect, with places (practically the house reef) close by and world class. All the staff from the maids to the front office clearly look happy, and are always there to help you out. The greatest Steve and help recover lost data from disk - thank you thank you thank you. We arranged a transfer to another resort which turned out to be almost 8 hours late. The whole team is really friendly, have lunch, drink, go back to the room to rest, contact other resorts, the best got there, immediately fell in love with the white sand. Just sitting on the bridge can already see the baby sharks swimming. it doesn't seem vicious. In addition, the blue starfish is very eye-catching. in sorido bay provides snorkeling facilities. a lot of Caucasians who visit there. You will not find air conditioning, TV, fully enclosed rooms, and you will also encounter insects and animals. If you mind those things, the beautiful property still connected to Kri, Sorido Bay Resort - just a short distance to the beach, might be a better choice. Kri has its beauty and lively atmosphere, and creates a special and unique minimalist environment that will not be replaced by glass windows, air conditioning and luxury. Kri is no less luxurious than a 5-star city hotel, but achieves it by redefining the traditional aspects of luxury.
