It is an ideal leisure and vacation destination. The scenery of Quyang Lake is breathtaking. The lake surface is as calm as a mirror, reflecting the blue sky, white clouds and the surrounding mountains. There are dense woods and green meadows by the lake, making people feel the tranquility and beauty of nature. Sometimes you can even see farmers dragging their cows past, which is a completely rural feel. There are many routes suitable for cycling enthusiasts around Quyang Lake. Here are some recommended routes: Lakeside Route: This route is about 20 kilometers long and circles the entire Quyang Lake. The road surface is flat and suitable for beginners and family tourists. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery of lakes and mountains along the way, and it is a very popular route. Forest Adventure Route: This route is about 15 kilometers long and passes through the forest area near the lake. The road surface is relatively rugged and suitable for cyclists who like challenges. You can see various wild animals and plants along the way, which is a good opportunity to get close to nature.

If you plan to tour around Quyang Lake, it takes about four hours by bicycle, so hiking is not recommended. Visitors who prefer self-driving or renting a car can drive around the lake, but be cautious as the roads are quite narrow. Alternatively, visitors can choose to take a sightseeing boat tour, which takes about two hours. We arrived at Quyang Lake at 3 PM and chose to cycle around the lake. The bike rental fee is $30 for 2 hours, and $10 for each additional hour, with the latest return time at 6 PM. Quyang Lake is surrounded by rolling hills of varying heights, offering picturesque scenery along the way. You can capture beautiful photos from different angles, just like a landscape painting. Along the way, you can see many villagers herding livestock, some grazing cattle, and others herding ducks, enjoying a leisurely life. The best spot to watch the sunset at Quyang Lake is near the dam at the entrance. We managed to return the bikes to the visitor center by 6 PM and waited at the dam for the sunset. Although the clouds obscured most of the sun that day, rays of sunlight still pierced through the clouds, creating a stunning 'Jesus light' effect.

Getting There - The place is not of easy access, we hired a driver🚗 and came from Nanning by car, it took around 4 hours but including a stop or around 2 hours in another destination where we had the chance to see the spring goose and rice fields. Attractions - just take a boat ⛵️and enjoy a ride of a little over or one hour around the lake surround by beautiful mountains everywhere. The best part is that seems to not be very well know yet, therefore we were the only ones in the boat, it felt like a private tour only for us ! 😎 Hotels - we did not stay here, but seems there are some hotels in the lake, anyway I would recommend to go and sleep somewhere else, probably the driver can suggest some good option. When choosing the next stop for Detian Waterfall, I decided between Haokun Lake and Quyang Lake, which are both in the Baise area. Finally, because I chose Equan Village in Jingxi, I naturally went to Quyang Lake. Another main reason is that Jingxi has a train to Nanning, the next travel destination. However, driving around the lake takes quite a long time. If you want to save time and see the most beautiful scenery, you can skip the visitor center and navigate directly to Baqi Tun. Climb up to the Baqi Tun viewing platform to overlook Quyang Lake. After coming down from the viewing platform, take a boat tour of the lake, and then you can head back. P Navigation: Baqi Viewing Pavilion Located in Baqi Tun, this village is not much developed, there are no homestays, but there is a village history museum where you can sit and rest. The scenery here is very good, and the viewing platform is very photogenic. The villagers' boats are open on all sides with railings and a roof for shade. The view from the villagers' boat is more open, whether for taking photos or enjoying the lake and mountains. As for the scenic area's boats, they cost 68 yuan per person, and the boarding point is not in Baqi Tun but at the Quyang Lake Visitor Center. The scenic area's boats are slightly enclosed with glass on all sides, and the experience of enjoying the lake view is not as good as the boats in Baqi Tun. Around the Lake Self-Driving: If you want to drive around the lake, there is a section on the north side that is not very good. Starting from Baqi Tun, after reaching Dongfeng Tun, the road becomes very narrow with very few passing points. However, it is not a one-way road; some people drive around the lake clockwise, others counterclockwise. When cars meet, they have to see who is closer to the last passing point and that person has to reverse. Reversing on a narrow road is a real test of driving skills. The road on the south side is much wider, allowing two-way traffic. Eating: We ate at the Quyang Lake Restaurant, located in Quyang Town.
