Disappointing Experience at QT Canberra
I was initially impressed with the location of QT Canberra, right in the city center, making it easy to explore the attractions of Canberra. The hotel's modern design also gave a positive first impression. However, the overall experience was far from satisfying.
The most frustrating issue was the slow customer service. I emailed the hotel with a question before my stay, and it took more than 48 hours to receive a response. This level of responsiveness is unacceptable for a hotel of this standard.
The air conditioning in the room was excessively loud, and the only option was to turn it off, leaving the room hot and uncomfortable. The poor soundproofing in the room was another issue; I could clearly hear noises from the bathroom, which made it difficult to relax.
Parking was another inconvenience. The hotel charges $30 per night, but there’s no guarantee of an available spot. This made parking stressful and frustrating.
While I understand the construction site view isn’t the hotel's fault, it would have been nice to be informed in advance or offered a room with a better view.
Despite its great location, the poor service, noise issues, and lack of attention to detail made this stay disappointing.
