Natural scenery
It is located 30 kilometers west of Shahe City and 50 kilometers from Xingtai City. The lake is surrounded by strange peaks and deep valleys. Mountains, lakes and valleys complement each other, and there are "Three Gorges, Four Valleys and Fifty Scenes". Lion Peak, Qinwang Peak, Lotus Peak, Monk Peak, Wucang Peak, Laojun Terrace, Qiquan Temple, Taihang Grand Aqueduct, etc. each has its own characteristics. Qinwang Lake is where Li Shimin, the King of Qin, fought against Liu Heita's rebel army in the late Sui and early Tang dynasties. The Tang army and the rebel army fought for three days and three nights, and blood flowed like a river. In order to commemorate the fallen soldiers, Li Shimin ordered General Yuchi Jingde to repair the Qiquan Temple to comfort the spirits of the fallen soldiers. There are many legends and stories about Li Shimin here.
