Yu Shuxin gets me! Taking photos at the same pool is amazing.
Stepping into Qingxi Hotel felt like stepping into a hidden paradise in Southeast Asia. The wood-toned color scheme, combined with lush greenery, creates a natural atmosphere throughout the space.
I was stunned the moment I opened the door! The large floor-to-ceiling windows let in plenty of sunlight, making the room bright and cozy. The wooden furniture, cotton and linen bedding, and the subtly fragrant aromatherapy made me feel incredibly relaxed. The private balcony was the biggest surprise. At night, I could lie on the lounge chair, look up at the starry sky, and listen to the faint music from the night market—a unique experience.
The hotel offers a buffet breakfast with a wide variety of Chinese and Western options. My favorite was the steaming bowl of rice noodles with delicious broth and rich toppings, a perfect start to an energetic day. For dinner, you can dine at the hotel restaurant or explore the nearby night market for local specialties. I tried the hotel's Dai-style set meal, which was sour, spicy, and appetizing, very authentic.
Although the hotel is not large, it has all the necessary amenities. My favorite is the rooftop infinity pool. The water is crystal clear, and it's never crowded. After a swim, I enjoyed sunbathing on a lounge chair and reading a book—pure bliss.
The hotel is ideally located, just a few minutes' walk from Gaozhuang Xishuangjing Starlight Night Market, where you'll find a dazzling array of goods and food. You can also visit nearby attractions such as the Mekong River Starlight Night Market, Zongfo Temple, and Manting Park to experience the unique charm of Xishuangbanna.
