A Perfect Summer Retreat: The Secluded and Beautiful Qingliang Mountain
Qingliang Mountain is a favorite spot among the old residents of Nanjing. With few visitors, a pleasant environment, lush vegetation, and gentle breezes, taking a summer trip to Qingliang Mountain to cool off is truly delightful.
Qingliang Mountain not only offers beautiful scenery in summer but also boasts a Ginkgo Valley in autumn, where golden leaves dance in the autumn breeze, creating a stunning sight. In winter, there are plum blossoms, allowing visitors to enjoy them in peace, away from the crowds at the Plum Blossom Hill of Zhongshan Mausoleum.
Qingliang Mountain spans across Hujulu and echoes the Stone City, presenting a contrast between majestic grandeur and serene depth.
Qingliang Mountain, formerly known as Stone Mountain, Shishou Mountain, or Stone City, is known as a 'Victory Site of the Six Dynasties.' The park is home to numerous famous historical sites and cultural relics, forming a profound historical and cultural heritage. Zhuge Liang once described the terrain of Jinling as 'where the tiger sits and the dragon coils,' with the 'tiger sits' referring to what is now Qingliang Mountain. During the Warring States period, King Wei of Chu established Jinling Yi here, and the mountain retained the name Stone City Mountain. During the Three Kingdoms period, Eastern Wu rebuilt the Stone City, also known as Stone Mountain. In the Southern Tang dynasty, a summer palace was built on the mountain, which served as the summer resort for the emperors of Southern Tang. It was renamed Qingliang Mountain in the Northern Song dynasty.
During the Kangxi reign of the Qing dynasty, Gong Xian, the foremost painter among the 'Eight Masters of Jinling,' purchased half an acre of land on the western foothills of Qingliang Mountain, built several houses, and lived in seclusion, naming his residence 'Half-Acre Garden.' It is said that the current Sweeping Leaves Tower was Gong Xian's former residence.

Nanjing Spring Flower Appreciation 🇨🇳❤️
#cherryblossom2024 🌸
Nanjing Spring Flower Appreciation, Qingliangshan Park is a popular destination for admiring magnolias in Nanjing, with unique background colors.
Linggu Temple has yellow walls, Chaotian Palace has golden tiles, and Qingliangshan Park has red walls. The white magnolia, as expected, is an old style flower, and when placed in front of any background, there is no sense of contradiction.
On March 18 and March 20, 2024, there will be multiple good bus routes including Qingliangshan Park, Bus Route 6, and Bus Route 20 that will provide direct access.

Enjoy the beauty of flowers with a mind free of distractions! When the magnolia flowers meet the ancient Qingliang Temple of a thousand years
►Why must the mind be free of distractions?
Because the Wurumendu Gate in the Qingliangshan Park's Qingliang Temple was inscribed by Master Haili, who hoped that people would practice 'non-discrimination,' not denying the objective differences that exist in all things, not to harbor subjective preferences or aversions, to learn equality, to understand harmony, to be non-discriminatory, non-attached, without arising thoughts or moving notions, to protect their own pure and wondrously clear mind!
A simple concept that may require a lifetime of practice!
►This single white magnolia is uniquely beautiful
▪The spring of the Dragon year was rather cold, and many parks have had their blooming seasons delayed, including Qingliangshan Park. Currently, only the camellias at Zhumapo and the magnolias in Qingliang Temple are in full bloom
▪We entered from the north gate, passed the back door of Chongzheng Academy, and saw a lush white magnolia standing out among the surrounding buildings from the road descending from Ginkgo Valley. It was truly stunning
▪Two magnolias are planted in the courtyard of the Wurumendu Gate, and the taller one looks like a heart shape from an aerial view, so beautiful! The courtyard is not very large, but you can find angles to take pictures of the magnolia from 360 degrees. The abbot sits quietly by the doorway, watching the flowers bloom and fall. No wonder the vegetation in the temple grows so well, because it's peaceful!
▪The temple is currently expanding the Mahavira Hall, and it is estimated that in a year's time, this place will become another center for pilgrims
►Admission: Free, you can enter from either the east or north gate, but the east gate is a bit closer to Qingliang Temple

Nanjing is full of golden armor, but the ginkgo is still cool and the mountain is beautiful with few people|
|Although Qiliang Mountain is famous for its ginkgo in Nanjing, the red leaves here are also good. Compared with those autumn viewing spots occupied by tour groups, I recommend taking pictures in some small parks in Nanjing city.
.
🍂Ginkgo
The ginkgo trees in the Ginkgo Valley of Qiliang Mountain are the largest ginkgo forest in the main city of Nanjing. These ginkgo trees were planted in the 1970s, with an age of about 60 years, and have a long history. There are more than 300 ginkgo trees in Qiliang Mountain Park. At present, the ginkgo has all turned yellow and gradually began to shed leaves. The yellow leaves cover the golden "carpet", which is very beautiful. Enter from the south gate of the park, walk through the leaf sweeping building on the left and walk up the mountain for 10 minutes, and you can see a golden forest shining in the sun from a distance.
.
🍁Chicken Claw Maple
Chicken claw maple is often mistaken for maple leaves, but chicken claw maple is much smaller, and maple trees are usually taller and do not turn red so early. The chicken claw maple around Qiliang Temple is changing from green to red. The same tree can even see green, yellow, orange, red and other levels of color, which can be called a rainbow tree.

Nanjing Qingliangshan Park, a summer resort that is rarely known as the big hidden in the city!
In the Southern Tang Dynasty, the Qing Dynasty Mountain was built on the Qingliang Mountain, and it was built in Qingliangshan Park. The birds and flowers are fragrant and the environment is fascinating, and places of interest can be seen everywhere. Qingliang Temple, Zhumapo, Chongzheng College, and sweeping leaves Qingliang Mountain is also known as the "six dynasties."
The most famous of these monuments is Qingliang Temple, which was built in 921 and has a history of more than 1,000 years. It is reported that after the Southern Tang Dynasty, the Lord Li Hou often came to Qingliang Temple to meditate and worship Buddha. The summer palace that was mentioned is here. In the Southern Tang Dynasty, Qingliang Temple was the first brake of Jinling. It was originally called Xingjiao Temple. The Qingliang Temple, which was renamed in the Ming Dynasty, has been in use ever since. The original Qingliang Temple was relatively large in scale. However, due to the war, many of the temples were destroyed. During the Qing Dynasty, the reconstruction was carried out on the basis of the original site, but the scale was not as good as before. Although the Qingliang Temple is small, the incense is very strong. Whether it is locals or tourists, there are often people who come here to pray.

Qingliang Mountain is located in Qingliangmen, Gulou District, Nanjing. It is a hilly hill in the west of Nanjing. The mountain is elliptical and stretches from Hanzhongmen to Dinghuamen. The mountain is more than 100 meters high and the square is about 4 kilometers. It has a Qingliangshan Park. Crossing the Tiger Road, Stone Town echoes with it, a magnificent, quiet and deep, against each other.
My impression of Qingliang Mountain is that it is on the edge of Nanjing Children's Hospital. Every time I see it, it means I am going to the hospital again, so I have not liked it very much. When I grew up, I came here less often.
Qingliangshan Ancient Stone Mountain, Shishou Mountain, Stone City, squatting in the west of Nanjing City, it is said that Zhuge Liang once called the Jinling situation as "Tigers and Dragons", and the Tigers refer to the Qingliang Mountain. In the Warring States period, Chu Weiwang placed Jinling in this place, and there was a city in the mountains, named Shicheng Mountain. In the Three Kingdoms, Dongwu was converted into a stone city, also known as Stone Mountain. In addition, there are no stones from the north of the river. So far, there are stones in the mountains, hence the name. In the Northern Song Dynasty, it was renamed Qingliang Mountain.
I remember when I was particularly fond of Zhang Ailing. After reading her half-life, I went to watch TV.
When Mann and the world were both playing in Nanjing, they came to climb this cool mountain. I have had their last happiness here, and I have revisited it like the story.
