Cingjing is not just about sheep, but also the scenery.
Cingjing Farm, located in central Taiwan, is a hidden gem known for its magnificent mountain views and cool climate, making it a favorite vacation spot for many travelers. This trip to Cingjing allowed me to experience the endless charm of nature and the beauty of stepping into a paradise.
Day 1: The Surprise of Arriving at Cingjing
In the morning, we set off from Taichung, winding through mountain roads. As the altitude increased, the air became fresher, and the scenery outside the car window more enchanting. Soon, we arrived at the entrance of Cingjing Farm, greeted by a lush green meadow with the majestic Central Mountain Range in the distance, shrouded in mist, as if we were in a fairyland.
Inside the farm, we first visited a cute alpaca area. The alpacas here are gentle, and their fluffy bodies made me want to pet them. They leisurely grazed on the grass, occasionally lifting their heads to curiously observe us with their bright eyes, bringing a sense of inexplicable joy.
Next, we participated in a feeding activity. Holding special feed in our hands, the alpacas slowly approached and gently nibbled with their mouths, making the interaction feel intimate. Here, we could not only enjoy the natural beauty but also experience close contact with the animals.
Day 2: Magnificent Mountain Views and Fresh Air
In the early morning, I was awakened by the sunlight outside the window. Opening the window to let in the fresh air, the scent of grass and flowers filled the room. We had breakfast at the farm's restaurant, where the ingredients were fresh and organic, reminding me of the beauty of Taiwan's agriculture.
After breakfast, we headed to the famous 'Cingjing Skywalk.' This is a suspended walkway that allows us to overlook the magnificent scenery of Cingjing. Walking along, we admired the surrounding mountains, with their undulating peaks and misty clouds, resembling a beautiful landscape painting. Every step on this walkway was filled with surprises, sometimes captivated by the spreading flowers and grass, and sometimes stopping to admire the breathtaking views.
After the Skywalk, we visited the 'Bagua Tea Garden.' The tea garden was lush and green, with the famous high mountain tea nurtured in the mist. Standing at the top of the tea garden, we saw layers of tea trees, with the mountain breeze bringing a whiff of tea fragrance. We also participated in a tea ceremony, learning how to brew high mountain tea, a relaxing and enjoyable process.
Day 3: Intimate Contact with Nature
On the last day, we chose horseback riding to experience another charm of Cingjing. Under professional guidance, we mounted the horses and slowly moved along the trails. The horses roamed freely on the grass, the sound of grass and hooves in our ears, bringing immense joy. The scenery along the way was stunning, with mountains surrounding us, sunlight filtering through the leaves onto the horse's back, feeling the breath of nature, as if all worries were blown away by the wind.
At a viewing platform, we stopped and looked up at the sky, with white clouds leisurely drifting in the blue sky, feeling a sense of peace and freedom. This intimate contact with nature made me rethink the meaning of life. This trip was not only a physical relaxation but also a cleansing of the soul.
