Foshan's floating life is like a garden dream, knowing autumn from a single leaf, and also knowing spring from it
A single leaf knows autumn, and also knows spring. The ancient doors and buildings seem like mysterious keys that open up a world. When we step into the century-old garden, it is like starting a wonderful journey through time, where unexpected joys can be found everywhere.
Walking between the rockeries and corridors, the century-old scenery unfolds slowly before our eyes like a painting. The pavilions, terraces, and small bridges and flowing water complement each other, distributed in an orderly manner, like meticulously carved artworks. The koi pond is crystal clear, with mandarin ducks and koi swimming freely, their lively figures adding endless vitality to this world. Every scene sketches a unique and beautiful picture, making people intoxicated and unable to extricate themselves.
This is a place of scholarly heritage, and also a brilliant pearl of Lingnan gardens. A garden offers not only a visual feast but also solace and nourishment for the soul. The gentle breeze brushing against the face carries the unique charm of Eastern culture, as if telling ancient stories. The pavilions and waterside pavilions reflect in the water through the windows, leaving faint traces, which is the ultimate pure Eastern elegance, like poetry and painting, like a dream.
In this century-old garden, we can put aside the hustle and bustle of the world and quietly feel the flow of time. Every stone, every plant, every building carries the memory of history and the sediment of time. Every grass and tree, every brick and tile here exudes a unique charm that makes people fall in love with it. Let us immerse ourselves in this poetic and picturesque garden, feel the profoundness of Eastern culture, and appreciate the endless elegance and beauty.

Food Guide: Shunde Family City Walk for Two Days and One Night
My half-happy hometown Shunde🔥
A few years ago, it was still quiet and comfortable, but now it has become a food city.
A two-day and one-night family trip is not enough to eat everything😋😋
.
🚇 Now it's very convenient to take the subway.
Happy Coast Plus and the old Half Moon City Amusement Park
🎡 The night view is beautiful, the Ferris wheel and the fountain are absolutely stunning~
The amusement park's attractions are much more cost-effective than those in Guangzhou🎠
Must visit! Jinbang Street and Qinghui Garden✨ are super lively~
.
⚠️ Do not take photos with the Spider-Man on the pedestrian street.
No price tag, and then they charge 20 per photo!
I said delete it, and then quickly slipped away~
.
Food Recommendations👍 (No Ads)

.
The most worthwhile places to go in Shunde
1⃣️'Huagai Li Straight Street' There are many snacks, the famous Aunt He's Geshui, Wei's Beef Offal Soup, Fish Skin Brother, Minxin Old Shop are all very close, you can eat all the way. Minxin Old Shop (Double Skin Milk Museum Store) is on this street, it is the first private public welfare exhibition space themed on the famous Cantonese snack double skin milk (the exhibition hall is open for free, daily 10:00-19:00), after the visit, sit down and eat a bowl of milk. The authentic double skin milk with a strong flavor is a bit sweet, but it's still delicious
2⃣️'Huagai Mountain Plank Road' You can climb up and walk around, not tired, and you can digest food by the way, you don't need to go back and you can walk to Jinbang Upper Street from the plank road to drink a bottle of buffalo milk
3⃣️'Jinbang Upper Street' is a very characteristic alley in Shunde, you can glimpse the fireworks of Shunde from the Huagai Mountain Plank Road. 'See route p8'
4⃣️How can you not eat fish sashimi when you come to Shunde! I dare not say which fish sashimi is the most delicious, the freshness of the fish and the method of mixing the seasoning will affect the taste. 'Damen Public' The fish sashimi is a taste I can't forget (after all, it's a bit difficult to find a delicious and affordable Shunde fish sashimi restaurant in Shenzhen)
5⃣️There are countless congee hot pot shops in Shunde, 'Xingtang Fair and Beautiful (Daliang Store)' is also delicious, but I personally think it's almost the same as the delicious congee hot pot in Shenzhen, you can eat it if you don't queue up

Qinghui Garden.
I was the second car to arrive at the parking lot, and I parked in the parking space. The first car took up two spaces, and the manager was helpless. Guangdong is said to have four famous gardens. The one I visited yesterday was disappointing, but Qinghui Garden today was a pleasant surprise. The garden is small, but the design is exquisite. There are rockeries, waterfalls, fish, stones, corridors, and halls. Sometimes the space is open, and sometimes it is cramped. The water in the garden is clear, which is better than the gardens in Suzhou. Even the lychee trees and other ornamental trees in the courtyard are surrounded by flower beds. The flower beds are rectangular, and the walls are decorated with colored glazed tiles and colored brick carvings, which add to the beauty. It makes people feel that the trees are ordinary, but the treatment is extraordinary.
Ordinary trees in the world, but favored by rich poets,
Watching fish in the mountains and rivers, and flowers in the sky!

Qinghui Garden in Foshan... is really beautiful!
It is indeed one of the four major gardens. In Qinghui Garden in Foshan, it feels like being in the south of the Yangtze River. It's really comfortable~ There are many long wooden chairs in the garden where you can sit and rest and enjoy the scenery when you are tired. I went there during the National Day holiday, and I had to queue for 20 minutes to get in... There were so many people... I took photos in the crowd😂 10 minutes of sightseeing + 10 minutes of 📸
I want to go there on a weekend next time~ The garden buildings and landscapes here are worth a visit, and of course, it's great for taking photos!

Qinghui Garden - A classic Lingnan garden.
In the morning, visit Qinghui Garden, one of the four famous gardens in Guangdong. The garden was originally built by Huang Shijun, the top scholar in the Ming Dynasty. During the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, the Huang family declined and was bought and expanded by the local scholar Long Yingshi.
Qinghui Garden is divided into three scenic spots: Nanyuan Fangchi is the water scenic spot in the garden. The main buildings include Chengyi Pavilion, Hexagonal Pavilion, and wooden corridors with carved decorations; Zhongyuan has a boat hall, Xiyin Bookstore, Zhenyan Zhai, Huating, Lion Mountain and other garden buildings. It is the most concentrated scenic spot in the garden; Beiyuan is represented by the bamboo garden, with dense buildings, which is the place where the garden owners live daily.
The garden construction of Qinghui Garden is reflected in the extensive use of hollow wood carvings, flower covers, brick carvings, colored glass and other decorative crafts, coupled with a large number of ancient trees and rockery landscapes, walking in the garden, everywhere is a scene, each has a style and is interesting.

Lingnan's Four Famous Gardens - Qinghui Garden
Qinghui Garden is one of the four famous gardens in Lingnan. The garden features clear water and lush greenery, with elegant scenery and winding paths leading to secluded spots. Green trees, clear water, lattice windows, rock hills, small bridges, winding corridors, and pavilions complement each other. It integrates ancient architecture, gardens, carvings, and the arts of poetry and calligraphy, highlighting the characteristics of grandeur, uniqueness, danger, seclusion, and elegance in courtyard architecture. The design is ingenious and exquisite, with Lingnan's fine trees, flowers, birds, and ancient and modern celebrities' inscriptions on couplets and plaques being simple yet beautiful, offering endless taste.

Written for those of you preparing for a holiday, 🌸 Shunde is a city rich in food and history, well worth a visit.
1️⃣ Qinghui Garden
Qinghui Garden is very pleasant to stroll around, 🌈 known as the top of the four famous gardens in Lingnan. It can be divided into the southern water area, the central garden area, and the northern residential area. 🌴 Among the main buildings, my personal favorites are the Boat Hall, Bixi Caotang, Chengyi Pavilion, and various corridors connecting the courtyards and buildings. Qinghui Garden (One of the Four Famous Gardens in Guangdong) Check-in at Shunde
Shunde Qinghui Garden Travel Guide丨In-depth Strategy丨With Attraction Introduction
📝Attraction Introduction: Located on Xinlu, Daliang, Shunde, it is one of the Four Famous Gardens in Guangdong along with Liang's Garden in Foshan, Yuyin Mountain House in Panyu, and Keyuan Garden in Dongguan. The overall layout is unique, combining the style of Jiangnan gardens with the characteristics of South China's subtropical scenery. It has a history of 160 years and is a garden landscape with great ornamental, artistic, and practical value. In the 1990s, it was listed as one of the Top Ten Gardens in China.
·
The layout of Qinghui Garden is a large garden enclosing smaller gardens. The current Qinghui Garden is roughly divided into three major sections: the southeast corner area entered from the original main gate, the old garden area in the middle, and the new garden area built in recent years in the northwest. Although the areas are separated, they are connected by corridors, paths, and various ingeniously designed small doors, forming a unified whole. Taking the old garden area as an example, its western part centers around a square pond, the boat hall in the north-central part is the essence of this area, and the southern part consists of the Bamboo Garden and the Small Pengbi Shenghua Pavilion, forming courtyards within courtyards, embodying the charm of a large garden enclosing smaller gardens.

A Two-Day Trip to Shunde
A Two-Day Trip to Shunde
We arrived at the hotel smoothly at nine o'clock on Saturday after a two-hour ride on the high-speed train and the subway (Picture 1). The hotel is located on the periphery of Qinghui Garden, and we could see the scenery of Qinghui Garden through the window, which was quite nice. After a short rest and leaving our luggage, we went to Huagai Road to find something to eat. Huagai Road is a street full of specialty snacks, offering a wide range of choices. We had fish noodles and fish skin, then went back to the hotel to rest. At two o'clock, we first visited Qinghui Garden, and after that, we took Line 3 to Tongji Road. Tongji Road is a street full of coffee shops, each with its own characteristics, but my friend and I are not very interested in coffee. Instead, we found this tea shop filled with green plants (Picture 2) quite special, so we went in for tea. We also visited Xianxing Bookstore (Picture 3), intending to order something and read quietly by the window, but it was too crowded and noisy, so we left. We strolled around and did some window shopping at the coffee shops there.
On Sunday, after breakfast on Huagai Road, we took Line 3 directly to Lunjiao, which was just three stops away. First, we went to Ming Stone Garden (Picture 4) to see the mansion of the wealthy. The garden was actually a bit small, and the ¥20 ticket was not very worthwhile, but it was still nice for taking photos. Next, we visited the Turtle Jelly Cultural Experience Museum (Picture 5) right next to Ming Stone Garden to taste authentic turtle jelly. Then we went to Tianyi Lang Garden, which is the Xiangyunsha Museum with distinctive architecture, allowing for very modern photos. Unfortunately, when we got there, the security guard said they were off on Sundays and wouldn't open the doors, which left us speechless 😓. We had no choice but to take a taxi directly to the last stop in Lunjiao - Fisherman's Wharf (Picture 6). It is a cultural park transformed from an abandoned factory, where the restaurants, tea shops, and graffiti reflect the collision and integration of modern and traditional culture, making it worth visiting. After two o'clock, we took a car back to Huagai Road to stroll around the pedestrian street and enjoy the classic traditional local cuisine, and even packed some to take home for our families to taste. At seven o'clock, we took a car back home, concluding our two-day trip to Shunde~

Qinghui Garden - An Ancient Garden Architecture Built in the Ming Dynasty.
Qinghui Garden is an ancient architecture that was first built in the Ming Dynasty. Located on Qinghui Road, Daliang Town, Shunde District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province, it is situated in the city center. The original site was the Huang Family Garden built by the Ming Dynasty's top scholar Huang Shijun. The existing buildings were mainly constructed during the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty. The garden reflects the owner's idea of enjoying the winding paths and lotus breezes, inspired by the famous line from the Southern Dynasty poet Xie Lingyun: "The climate changes from dawn to dusk, and the mountains and waters contain clear brilliance," hence the name "Qinghui." The garden has been renovated multiple times by five generations of the Long family, including Long Yingshi, Long Tinghuai, Long Yuanren, Long Jingcan, and Long Zhuhui, gradually forming a complete and distinctive Lingnan garden. Qinghui Garden, along with Liang Garden in Foshan, Yuyin Mountain House (or Yuyin Garden) in Panyu, and Keyuan Garden in Dongguan, is known as one of the Four Great Gardens of Lingnan. It is a representative work of Lingnan gardens and a provincial-level cultural relic protection unit. In January 1984, Comrade Deng Xiaoping visited Qinghui Garden.
Qinghui Garden is exquisitely constructed and compactly laid out. The architectural art is quite high and magnificent, with the buildings being light and flexible in form, yet simple in appearance. The garden space is clearly divided into primary and secondary areas, with a clear structure. It integrates elements such as clear water, green trees, ancient walls, leaking windows, stone mountains, small bridges, winding corridors, and pavilions. It combines the arts of ancient Chinese architecture, gardens, carving, poetry, calligraphy, and gray sculpture. The cultural relics in Qinghui Garden include calligraphy by masters such as Li Zhaoluo, Li Wentian, and He Shaoji. The layout of Qinghui Garden features a large garden encompassing smaller gardens, without focusing on creating artificial mountains. The principle of the mountain lies in borrowing from afar. Surrounded by mountains on three sides, a slight construction of pavilions allows for a view of the distant mountain slopes. The lush trees in the garden blend seamlessly with the distant mountain slopes, forming an integral part of the mountain scenery.

Qinghui Garden Tour Guide | In-depth Strategy | With Introduction to Attractions
⛩Introduction to attractions: Located on Xinlu in Daliang, Shunde, it is collectively known as one of the four famous gardens in Guangdong, along with the Liang Garden (Shi Shi Zhai) in Foshan, the Yuyin Mountain House in Panyu, and the Keyuan in Dongguan. The overall layout is ingenious, featuring both the style of gardens in the south of the Yangtze River and the characteristics of subtropical scenery in South China. It has a history of 160 years and is a garden landscape with significant ornamental, artistic, and practical value. In the 1990s, it was listed as one of the top ten famous gardens in China.
The layout of Qinghui Garden is a large garden encompassing smaller gardens. The three main areas of the current Qinghui Garden are: the southeast corner area entered from the original main gate, the central old garden area, and the new garden area built in recent years in the northwest. Although the areas are separated, they are connected and integrated through corridors, paths, and creatively designed small doors. Taking the old garden area as an example, its western part is centered around a square pond, the central northern part with the Boat Hall and others are the essence of this area, and the southern part with the Bamboo Garden, Xiaopeng Bi Sheng Flower Pavilion, etc., form courtyards, creating a garden within a garden, embodying the pattern and charm of a large garden encompassing smaller gardens.

The shapes and structures of each are unique and elegant. Huagai Mountain Trail: The trail is about 1600 meters long, take a leisurely stroll
It takes about 30-40 minutes, good for taking pictures

If you come in the afternoon and are lucky, you might see the sunset. But it rained that day ☔️, which was sad, so make sure to check the weather

This is Shunde
For the May Day holiday, let's go to Shunde to eat, eat, eat!🍽️
Hotel: Choose to stay near Daliang, close to various attractions
🎡Day One: Huagai Road Pedestrian Street➡️Qinghui Garden➡️Minxin Old Shop➡️Shunde Happy Coast
Huagai Road Pedestrian Street: There are many snacks along the way, bought the must-eat Jin Si beef cake, which was quite good, and every shop had a queue. With a curious mind, I tried the very popular fish skin, which has a crispy texture, no fishy smell, and is acceptable, but the portion for 20 is quite small, with many side dishes. Tried mango with chili and sour plum powder for the first time, not bad👌 A Bao's lemon tea is very refreshing, cuts through the grease.
Qinghui Garden: The scenery is nice, suitable for a stroll and taking pictures.
Minxin Old Shop: The must-eat double-layer milk pudding in Shunde, waited for three hours to get a number! Also got to eat it😬, the double-layer milk pudding is sweet to the heart, and the mango taro sago dessert is very tasty, recommended😋
Happy Coast: 🚇Directly accessible by Metro Line 3, the night view is beautiful, and it's extremely crowded. There are many entertainment options🎡, had some childlike fun, rode the carousel😜, and ended the day with a meal at Shu Daxia Hotpot🍲.
⛵️Day Two: Jianji Claypot Rice➡️Fisherman's Wharf➡️Fangqu Ice Shop➡️Wei Yuan Canteen➡️Jinbang Street
Jianji Claypot Rice: Most of the customers here are locals, no need to queue, ordered the pork rib rice, which is tasty, recommended👍
Fisherman's Wharf: Just a check-in spot, took some photos and left.
Fangqu Ice Shop: Happy ice eating time!🍧 Each flavor has a nice name.
Wei Yuan Canteen: First time seeing so many people buying egg tarts... Hundreds of numbers in the queue, decided to switch to another place.
Jinbang Street: The buffalo milk is super tasty! Very pure, love drinking it🥛. The beef offal tastes strong, would be better a bit spicier.
Perfectly ended the May Day trip to Shunde🔚
