Pu Zhuangsuocheng is located in Pucheng Township, Cangnan County, at the junction of Zhejiang and Fujian. It is a famous coastal defense castle building in ancient China. Since the Tang and Song Dynasties, it has always been an important place to defend Xu. It was built in the seventeenth year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1384) to prevent Japanese pirates. The city is surrounded by mountains and faces the sea, the south is square, the north is arc circle, and the plane is in the shape of "the sky is round and the place". The city wall has a circumference of 2,400 meters, a height of 3-7 meters, a width of 6-8 meters at the bottom and a width of 4-7 meters at the top. It is built with strips and blocks of stone in three layers, and the middle is filled with rammed earth. The three urn cities in the east, south and west are all square. Except for the west gate tower, which has been destroyed, the other two still exist. Outside the city there are enemies, moats, strongholds and Yandun, etc.; the streets and lanes in the city have not changed so far, there are more than 30 temples such as Chenghuang Temple and Mazu Temple, as well as many typical courtyard dwellings in southern Zhejiang and the cornerstones of the city. It not only provides physical historical materials of the Ming Dynasty's struggle against Japanese, but also an important place for patriotic education to the masses.
