Puka Beach: A Hidden Gem in Boracay
#getgoing2025
During my trip to Boracay with my husband, we asked a local where the most beautiful beach on the island was, and they pointed us to Puka Beach.
It didn’t disappoint!!!!!
The water was an unbelievable shade of blue, and the beach was peaceful with far fewer people than the more popular White Beach.
We had the perfect, relaxing afternoon just soaking in the beauty and the calm atmosphere.
**Why I recommend it:**
- The crystal-clear blue water is absolutely stunning.
- The beach is quiet and peaceful, ideal for a relaxing escape from the crowds.
📍Address: Puka Beach, Boracay Island, Aklan, Philippines
If you’re looking for a serene spot with jaw-dropping views, this is definitely the place to be!

Dared to travel solo on my birthweek💪🙈🤩
#boracaytrips#seascapes #travel
“Traveling solo does not always mean you’re alone. Most often, you meet marvelous people along the way and make connections that last a lifetime.” — Jacqueline Boone
For a female traveling & spending a few days alone, I have considered Boracay as my go-to. Boracay was actually the 2nd choice, but there was the pandemic. This time, I decided to change because the first option I had was canceled. And it was a good decision. I stayed in station 3, where it is not crowded, but it is not very quiet too. I have days full of activities, and I have days just chilling. I have met people, mostly foreigners, and they're enjoying their stay, which makes me somehow proud. As we are promoting the Philippines being more fun.
Boracay offers different activities. Whether you are fond of water activities or land tours or island hopping. And each station differs depending on what you prefer. Station 2 is the most crowded or noisy due to more bars, restaurants, and nightlife.
It is best to avoid going to Boracay during the rainy season or when there's typhoon.

Puka Beach, visited during private hopping!!!!
The ocean is so pretty, but... eating delicious food while looking at the ocean is love... ..????!
It's a local restaurant in front of the beach, so the hygiene is a bit bad... But it's still delicious,
so I forgive you... ❤️

Relaxing Puka Beach
#beachtime
Puka Beach - best place to sit on the sand and just listen to the waves as it seems like a lullaby. Also, when the cool wind touches our face, it turns out to be a gently hand that caresses us to sleep. So relaxing! 🏝️😌😎
PS: There is an option for us to rent a banig for an affordable price. Just approach a personnel (kuya) that you can see around. Or you can just bring your own 😉

Puka Beach: Boracay’s Serene Escape
#asiatrip
RPuka Beach, also known as Puka Shell Beach, is a tranquil haven on Boracay Island. Unlike the bustling White Beach, Puka Beach offers a more serene and natural setting. The beach is famous for its unique sand, mixed with crushed puka shells, giving it a distinct texture. The clear, turquoise waters are perfect for swimming, though they get deep quickly, so caution is advised. The beach is less developed, with fewer bars and restaurants, which adds to its charm. It’s an ideal spot for a peaceful picnic or a quiet afternoon of sunbathing. While it can get crowded with boats during peak times, the stunning views and relaxed atmosphere make it worth a visit.

Puka Beach, a great place to take pictures while riding a crystal kayak
#NovemberTravelSupportEvent #Boracay #PukaBeach #PhotoRestaurant
Puka Beach, the last place I visited on the hopping tour!
It's hard to visit during the rainy season when the wind is strong, but it's a calm Puka Beach that I've seen for the first time in a while
The bottom is clearly visible, so it's good for riding a crystal kayak, and it's good for taking pictures with the sand castle and the PUKA letters made of tree branches.

Puka Beach Sunset
Puka Beach in Boracay offers a quieter, more serene experience compared to the island's more popular White Beach. Here are some experiences and tips for your visit, especially around sunset time:
Experiences:
Sunset Viewing: Puka Beach is known for its less crowded atmosphere, making it a great spot to watch the sunset in peace. Bring a blanket or beach mat to relax and take in the stunning views.
Swimming and Beachcombing: The waters at Puka Beach are usually clear, though waves can be a bit stronger. The beach is named after the puka shells found on its shores, so you can enjoy beachcombing for these unique shells.
Snorkeling: While it’s not as popular for snorkeling as other Boracay spots, you can still enjoy some underwater sights, especially near rocky areas.
Local Stalls: There are small stalls and vendors selling souvenirs, puka shell jewelry, and snacks. You can pick up locally-made items or enjoy a fresh coconut drink while exploring the beach.
Quiet Stroll: Since Puka Beach is less commercialized, it's perfect for a romantic walk along the shore as the sun sets.
Private Dinner Setup: Some resorts or companies offer private dining setups on the beach, providing a great opportunity to have a quiet meal with an incredible sunset view.
Tips:
Timing: Arrive a little before sunset (around 4:30-5:00 PM depending on the season) to secure a good spot and soak in the beach vibe before the sun goes down.
Transportation: Tricycles are the easiest way to get to Puka Beach from other parts of Boracay. They’re affordable and convenient.
Bring Cash: Many of the local stalls don’t accept credit cards, so having some cash on hand is essential.
Beach Attire: The beach can get windy, so it’s a good idea to bring a light cover-up or jacket if you plan to stay after sunset.
Environmental Awareness: Keep the beach clean and respect the local environment by not taking any shells home and disposing of waste properly.
Avoid the Crowds: While Puka Beach is quieter than White Beach, it's best to visit during the weekdays or earlier in the day to avoid peak hours.
These tips will help you fully enjoy the laid-back beauty of Puka Beach during your trip.

Explore the world, Explore Boracay Island 🏝️
My first time visit is really exciting! 😊 The first destination I went is in Puka beach. I heard and do some research about it and it's really famous for its white sand shore filled with bits of corals. The best time to visit and relax is during sunset. You will see those vibrant colours 🌅. You can buy mats or what the locals called " banig " so you can enjoy and relax. You can bring foods, drinks and snack as well. If your're planning to visit here are some tips and route on how to go there. You can take a ferry from Caticlan Jetty Port to Cagban Jetty Port , from there take a taxi to Puka Beach. And there you go !! Enjoyyy 😊
