The first largest temple in Putuo Mountain, the Buddhist Kingdom of Heaven and Earth - Puji Temple.
Puji Temple, also known as Qian Temple, is located at the southern foot of Lingjiu Peak in Putuo Mountain. It was built in the Later Liang period, facing south to the north, and is the dojo of Guanyin Bodhisattva. It is the first largest temple in Putuo Mountain and is known as the "Buddhist Kingdom of Heaven and Earth" and "the first quiet place in the world".
All major Buddhist events and receptions on the mountain are held here. It is the oldest temple in Putuo Mountain and the first largest temple in Putuo Mountain. It is called the Three Temples of Putuo together with Fayu Temple and Huiji Temple, which together constitute the main structure of the Guanyin Dojo in Putuo Mountain.
The Haiyin Pool in front of Puji Temple is a lotus pond of about 15 acres built in the Ming Dynasty, also known as the Release Pond. No private cars are allowed on the island, nor are there any taxis. The only modes of transportation within the scenic area are buses and cable cars.

It's been a long time since the last update, and I know my friends have been waiting. The reason is quite simple. As an ordinary working person, it's not possible to travel whenever I want, only on holidays. Therefore, each article is very sincere and a true reflection of my personal feelings, and I hope to receive everyone's encouragement.
This time I went to Mount Putuo⛰️, which I'm sure many of you are familiar with. Mount Putuo⛰️, also known as Mount Potalaka, is located on the southern edge of Hangzhou Bay in Zhejiang Province, to the east of the Zhoushan Archipelago.
Mount Putuo⛰️ is one of the four sacred mountains of Chinese Buddhism, a famous site for worshipping Guanyin, and one of the first batch of national key scenic spots announced by the State Council. It is known as the 'Buddhist Kingdom on the Sea' and the 'Holy Land of the South Sea.' There are more than forty temples open to the public on the mountain, the largest of which are the Puji Temple, Fayu Temple, Huiji Temple, and Baotuo Lecture Temple. The biggest landmark is the 33-meter-tall statue of the South Sea Guanyin. Surrounded by the sea on all sides, Mount Putuo is hailed as the 'Number One Serene Place in the Human World.'
Transportation🚌: Since it was a holiday, there were many people, and individual traveler tickets were sold out, so we chose to join a tour group, which included transportation... You can choose to fly✈️ directly to Zhoushan Airport, or take the high-speed train to Ningbo or Zhoushan, both of which are very convenient. Ningbo and Zhoushan are very close to each other, so if you don't want to stay in Zhoushan, you can choose Ningbo. To visit Mount Putuo on the island🏝️, you need to take a boat, which costs 60 yuan per person for individual travelers. You can also choose a more expensive speedboat for the trip.
Weather🌈: The weather is very important. 🌬️Strong winds, heavy rain🌧️, and dense fog🌫️ can all stop the trips to the island. You can follow the official WeChat account of Mount Putuo for updates and plan ahead to avoid affecting your travel.
Rainbow Restaurant: The island mainly offers vegetarian food. You can choose the vegetarian meals inside Puji Temple, which are available right inside the main gate on the right-hand side where you queue up to get a ticket. You can also choose vegetarian meals from the island residents. Prices are generally high, and there is no hot water on the island, so I don't recommend bringing a cup. It's better to bring bottled water.
Incense🌈: It's usually best to choose sandalwood incense. You can buy it outside or on the island, but the prices at the small shops on the island are higher. I bought mine at a small shop on the island, 99 yuan for 50 sticks of incense, which I do not recommend❌. The place where I found religious items for sale was only next to the South Sea Guanyin, with moderate prices, and they are said to be consecrated. You can arrange this yourself. Three sticks represent blessings for one generation, six sticks for two generations, nine sticks for three or more generations, and thirteen sticks for 'all the lakes and seas' if you want to make a big wish. Usually, nine sticks are enough for each deity, ⚠️and you should use the same number of sticks in front of each deity, not three in front of one and nine in front of another. Exchange some cash, 1 yuan, 5 yuan, 10 yuan, to put into the merit box. Also, 🔅a few temples usually require lotus tickets, which are the entrance tickets to the temples, 5 yuan per person, cash only, so be sure to bring cash.
Dress🌈: Wear comfortable shoes, definitely, definitely. The altitude of the mountain⛰️ is not high, but the mountain roads are difficult to walk, so you must wear comfortable shoes. Clothes should not be too revealing❌. Women should avoid short shorts and skirts, and men should avoid shorts and slippers as much as possible.
Personally, I feel that after visiting, my heart became much calmer. Sincerity is what matters most, and that's the most important thing.

|||. Recommended travel route in Putuo Mountain (energy-saving version): Nanhai Guanyin-Puji Zen Temple-Fayu Temple-Huiji Zen Temple, it takes about 5-6 hours to finish, you can take a car if you want to be faster. You can refer to others' notes for what to ask for/how to ask/notes in each temple.
Fayu Temple (the glazed tiles on the roof and the nine-dragon caisson on the ceiling inside the hall are antiques)
Huiji Zen Temple (the highest altitude, suitable for watching sunrise and sunset) It seems that you can only take a cable car to go up, anyway, I didn't find the mountain road to go up, and even went to someone's abandoned house.
🅿️Recommended parking place: Baolong Tiandi Mall near Banshengdong Bus Station, parking fee is 3 yuan/h, capped at 15 yuan. It is also more convenient to take a boat than Zhujiajian, where parking is said to be 8 yuan/h, capped at 64 yuan.
🏨Hotel recommendation: Zhoushan Kangqiao Wanghu Hotel, very close to both piers, the hotel breakfast is rich, parking is convenient, close to the business circle. The key is that there is a washing and drying machine, and there is a discount for renewing the stay, the average price for two nights is 330. If you have money, you can go directly to the Hilton next door.
🍜Food recommendation: Honestly, there is none. On the island, I went to the number one vegetarian buffet, just a few steps away from the popular coffee shop, 45 per person, the taste is average, if I go to Putuo Mountain again, I would rather experience the vegetarian food in the temple. Off the island, I went to Zaisanliang? based on others' notes, and found it average.
Other recommended tourist spots: Meishan Bay Wetland Park, with log cabins and windbreaks, and the under-construction bridge, which is quite photogenic. There are also many parking spaces, you can practice reversing into the garage when you are bored haha

Day1: Suzhou—Zhujiajian Centipede Wharf—Near the Puzhao Temple Homestay (Centipede Wharf is a relatively large wharf that can go to many different islands, pay attention when buying tickets.)
It is recommended to stay near the wharf because there is a lot of public transportation. The homestay near Puzhao Temple that I stayed in this time was a pitfall, and there was not much public transportation. The tour needs to be re-planned.
Island entry time: 6:30—21～50 No boats will be opened in special weather
Day2: Homestay near Puzhao Temple—Wharf—Buddha Top Mountain—Puzhao Temple—Baibu Sand—Wharf—Shenjiamen Fish Port
