A "Simplistic Replacement" accommodation that brings relaxation to both body and mind
Explore the visa-free season in Chiang Mai this September
-Returning to Chiang Mai, I happened to catch the Thai visa-free season. Taking the Shanghai to Chiang Mai flight on September 25th, the airport immigration was very fast on the visa-free day, basically just a stamp and go, very smooth and very polite.
-Back to the main topic, the first place I explored in Chiang Mai is a nature hotel away from the worldly hustle and bustle. After talking to the hotel, I learned that the owner was once a strong woman in the Thai advertising and marketing industry. In recent years, she has retired from her busy career and created this relaxing residence suitable for urbanites who need to slow down both body and mind.
%Location:
Near the foothills close to Chiang Mai city center (sorry, I didn't do my homework, I don't know which mountain), anyway, it's a bit far from the city center, a 10-minute drive to Nimman Road, a 20-minute drive to the Old City, and 25 minutes to Tha Phae Gate.
%Environment:
Located amidst lush green vegetation, you can already feel the imminent embrace with nature as you enter the hotel's road. The hotel is very quiet, suitable for those who don't like noise and want to rest quietly for a day or two, or families who want to take their time and soak in the hotel with their children. (If you love the bustling city and need to be close to food and markets, this might not be for you)
There are no 7-Eleven convenience stores in sight, so it's recommended that you buy snacks and drinks at 7-Eleven before going to the hotel, or use Grab/Foodpanda for delivery.
%Room:
The rooms are decorated with a combination of pure white and natural wood colors, from the bathroom to the room, there are not too many complex decorations, the original wood color gives a sense of inner warmth and zero pressure. Luckily, the hotel specially upgraded to the top floor's foremost room, and after sunrise, I still lazed in bed. On one side of the bed, the view through the large floor-to-ceiling windows was a green landscape, and on the other side, the feeling of opening the floor-to-ceiling balcony sliding door in the early morning and quietly feeling the fresh air after the rain with a hint of fresh earthy scent. Another delightful highlight is the shower room's top, which is designed with separate transparent glass, and the feeling of sunlight pouring in from the sky suddenly takes me back to my childhood days of basking in the sun at noon in early spring.
