After almost a week in Naples and poor sleep. I was ready to move to a quieter place. About 10 minutes of walking got me to the central station. Shortly afterwards i boarded on to a bus that my hostel manager helped me figure out. It was a quick ride to the port. The plan was to catch a ferry to Proscida. In terms of first impressions it looked less touristy. There was something authentic about it. The place seemed rustic and quiet. So I figured this would be a good place to lay low and immerse in the Italian way of life. A more authentic and satisfying experience compared to the popular destinations I had done in the past 6 weeks. This was a welcomed change. I booked a decent guesthouse for about 30 euros and the plan was to laze around for the next 4 nights and recover. This isn't the place where you will wake up with a list of sites you are to explore and then have a bite and get on with your hat. In fact, this is more for the relaxed way of spending time, starting your day with a beautiful coffee and breakfast and then at your own pace head out. I loved my stroll around those quaint alleys. It's such a comfort to be in non touristy places and get a glimpse of local living. Having said so, you needn't necessarily do anything. Eat your pizza's, shop around, get on a boat to the nearby islands or just explore the joy of a boat ride and the coast line. I recommend visiting the island of Ischia. Procida, this treasure island hidden in the Bay of Naples in southern Italy, is so beautiful! 😍 I bought the boat ticket from the official website and took a long boat ride from Naples. As soon as I got ashore, I was mesmerized by the colorful houses on the island. They were so cute! Every street and every corner exudes charming charm, and I feel as if I have traveled through time and space and returned to that peaceful and ancient age. The sunshine and sea water on the beach were simply irresistible. I lay there and felt like I was melting. 🏖️Walk and stop as you please, of course you can’t miss the good opportunity to find food! The fried potato chips, squid and small fish at HOOK restaurant are crispy and delicious in every bite, and paired with their special juice, it's simply the best delicacy in the world! Oh, by the way, don’t forget to go to the highest point of the island - Santa Margherita Nuova Church. It is the best photo spot on the island and it is so beautiful! 📸 Procida, this rainbow island, is really a great place to linger! Will come again next time! 💕 #GlobalTravel
