Anyone who drives to Khao Yai must have passed by PRIMO PIAZZA. The yellow European-style building, formerly called Primo Posto, was just a restaurant with a vineyard at the back. After the name was changed, more buildings were built. The highlight here is that there are alpacas, merino sheep, and donkeys for tourists to feed. The entrance fee is 100 baht for adults and 50 baht for children. The entrance ticket can be exchanged for alpaca food. In the zone that gathers all the fluffy four-legged animals, there are long-necked, big-eyed alpacas (Alpaca), adorable Merino sheep, and Donkey, a mischievous little donkey who traveled all the way from Australia. Here, there are about 30 Merinos and 20 alpacas, divided into 10 males and 10 females. As for Donkey, who is a bit pitiful, there are only 2, 1 male and 1 female. Here, they take good care of the animals. They are kept in a shed with good ventilation and fans to help circulate the air. Each animal lives in a free and independent environment, and is released to graze and stretch every afternoon at 3 or 4 p.m. Tourists can take photos and feed them up close during this time. #primopiazza #visitkhaoyai

One of my most memorable travel moments in 2022 was walking around in Primo Piazza located in Khao Yai. It feels like I was walking through a small town in Italy instead of Pak Chong, a mountainous region in Thailand. Primo Piazza is a recreation of a Italian town with cobblestone streets, well manicured gardens and even a barn with farm animals. My toddler had a ball of a time feeding the alpacas in the barn. A farm animal that we seldom see. Amenities are plenty with clean toilets that resemble those in a country home and a store selling drinks and ice cream. Seeing the big smiles and laughter from my child warmth my heart. I would love to take a trip to the real Tuscan village with my family next year! #2023travelwish

Simetimes I felt the Thai people are so creative and manage to create something that is so unexpected. The primo Piazza is located at 200/2 Mu Si, Pak Chong District. About 2 1/2 hours drive. I am so happy to see Alpaca here, I never been able to pet a Alpaca before, so cute and spectacular. This is a great place to bring family and friends for a drive about, leaving the hustle and bustle of Bangkok behind and have a great time at Country Side. There is also cafe there where we can have amazing Italian Espresso and cakes, the Italian Style building and their culture is amazing. Definitely recommended. Basically It is a full day trip and great for a mind and soul relaxation.

Booked a driver to explore Khao Yai that is located 3 hours from Bangkok! We went to Primo Piazza, a charming Italian town in which it comprises of cobblestone buildings, open air dining and a garden. After seeing so many pics of Primo Piazza on our friends’ socials, it naturally became a must visit. Our first encounter with alpacas was a cheeky one. Didn’t know they are playful 😆 We fed merinos and donkeys too. Other than the animals, there were a variety of blooms. We spotted bees and reptiles as we roamed around. Understand from the staff that a lot of shops, that we thought were photo-taking spaces, were closed after being hit by COVID-19. If you are ever in Bangkok and have some extra days to spare, I would suggest driving or hiring a private driver to get you to Khao yai. It is only a few hours from Bangkok and there is a ton of fun things to do there. One attraction I visited in Khao Yai is Primo Piazza, it is like a little town themed to look like a Tuscan village or an old Italian village. Because I have young kids who cannot travel far to Italy, this is the most ideal and closest to Italy that I can bring them to. Every spot at pirmo piazza is an instagram worthy spot. Pictures turns out beautiful with an Italian background and touch. Also, there is an area within primo piazza that allows you to feed their sheeps, goats and donkeys there. At Primo Piazza, you’ll find a herd of alpacas and Capricorn sheep residing in peaceful harmony. They’re incredibly friendly, and especially so if you lure them close with a handful of grass. Superficial as they may be, these furry creatures are an absolute delight to play with. Primo Piazza itself is actually modelled after Italy, its streets paved with cobblestones and lined with Italian architecture. Drop by one#khaoyai of its quaint little coffee shops for a morning pick-me-up, or indulge in a scoop of gelato. It’s best to visit during weekends, when all the shops are open in full force.
