The Archbishop's Palace is a palace in the Old Town of Bratislava, built between 1778 and 1781 in a neoclassical style. Listening to this name, you know that the first owner of the Archbishop's Palace was the archbishop of the church at that time. The sculpture on the top of the building is the hat symbolizing the cardinal, weighing 150 kilograms. The Archbishop's Palace is also famous for the signing of the Peace of Pressburg in 1805. The Archbishop's Palace is now the office of the Mayor of Bratislava, and the exquisite Hall of Mirrors is occasionally used for concerts and other events. There is also a superb sculpture inside the Bishop's Palace, which is the process of St. George's defeat of the dragon, which is the so-called knight slaying the dragon. There is a legend that St. George represents the archbishop, and the dragon who fought with him symbolizes the reforming force that will drive the Catholic Church out of the city. But now it seems that the archbishop has not escaped the historical changes.
