Pay homage and ask for blessings from the ancient Ganesha statue, more than 300 years old, in the posture of defeating Mara.
Prasat Nakhon Luang is an ancient site located in Nakhon Luang District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. It was built during the reign of King Prasat Thong. It was originally a residence for kings when they came to pay homage to the Buddha's footprint. It has now become a popular historical tourist attraction on social media.
One of the highlights of Prasat Nakhon Luang is praying to the ancient Ganesha, who is more than 300 years old and sits on a throne of skulls. He is believed to help with work, finances, studies, and eliminating obstacles. The way to pray is as follows:
Bring 2 banknotes to pray, rub Ganesha's feet to increase financial luck.
Ring the bell, and after praying, take 1 banknote back for good fortune.
If you can whisper to a mouse to pray, that would be great.
(You are not allowed to bring incense and candles upstairs. We recommend praying from below, and the way up can be steep.)
Traveling from Bangkok to Prasat Nakhon Luang is not far, taking only 1-1.5 hours. You can travel by private car, using Phahonyothin Road or Asia Road, then take Highway No. 309. If traveling by train, you can get off at Ayutthaya Station and take a car to Nakhon Luang District.
For those who are looking for a place to visit near Bangkok that has both history and sacredness, don't miss visiting Ganesha at Prasat Nakhon Luang. #Get a discount without relying on luck

Royal Ruins of the past!
This residence was historically used by various Kings of Ayuttahaya as a temporary camp. The temple’s architectural design is an imitation of a kingdom in Cambodia.
Today the structure remains but, on the passages surrounding the main square, there is only one statue remaining.
📸Taking a photo from below, it is a remarkable contour that fills the lens!
💡Tips: It is best to visit the temple on a day with less clouds for the best photos!
👼The temple still has active services for the religious and its best to be conscious of the people in prayer wen taking photos.
📸The entire temple is an amazing backdrop for portraits!
🚌To get there from Bangkok, it is a 65km drive from DMK airport. Hire a driver for the day, hire a car for the day or rent a motorcycle for the day!
🎟️Entrance is FREE
☕️There is a coffee shop on the premises and local vendors across the street selling refreshments and meals.

Pray to the ancient Ganesha at Wat Nakhon Luang, Ayutthaya.
✨Go once! Pray to all!
This time we visited Ayutthaya and had the opportunity to stop by Wat Nakhon Luang
which has an ancient site, Prasat Nakhon Luang
with the ancient Ganesha, the posture of defeating the Mara, which is more than 300 years old
🕉 When praying to this posture of Ganesha
the father will sit on a skull base
which will help eliminate obstacles, problems and bad things
Then we pray to him for luck and success
And here there is also the floating moon stone, a stone that miraculously floated along the banks of the Pa Sak River
Luang Pho Somwang and four Buddha footprints
📌Somwang technique: Start by praying to Ganesha first and pray to the Buddha in the castle, then come down to pray to the floating moon stone
In the castle, there will be a monk to bless and anoint your palms
and foreheads as well, so you will be lucky and successful
🤎 Park your car at the 2nd parking lot, which is the closest to the castle
🤎 It is recommended to come on weekdays, there will be fewer people
🤎 The way up to the castle is quite steep, so the elderly should be careful

Prasat Nakhon Luang is considered a beautiful place that is no less than other temples in Ayutthaya. The highlight here is the castle itself, which is a mix of Thai and Khmer art, made entirely of bricks. The highlight that you must take a picture of from this angle is the principal Buddha image behind the castle. Looking up from above, you can see the sky. This angle is very beautiful for taking pictures. You have to come and experience this for yourself.

Prasat Nakhon Luang
It is an important monument of Ayutthaya.
King Prasat Thong ordered its construction in 2174 B.E., modeled after Prasat Muang Angkor in Cambodia. The Fine Arts Department announced its registration as an ancient monument in 2478 B.E. and surveyed, excavated, decorated, restored and improved the surrounding area from 2533 to 2537 B.E. to honor Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn on the occasion of Thai Heritage Conservation Day on April 2, 2537, and to preserve the national cultural heritage to be sustainable and evidence of the country's civilization. Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn graciously presided over the opening ceremony of Prasat Nakhon Luang on January 14, 2538 B.E.

The Sacred Land Dreamed by a Former King: Wat Nakhon Luang
Wat Nakhon Luang, a historic temple built during the Ayutthaya Kingdom in the 17th century, stands as a testament to the fusion of Thai tradition and foreign influences. Its structure, modeled after a prasat (palace-style building), reflects the architectural inspiration drawn from Western styles by the king of that era. Inside the temple, visitors can find Buddha statues once worshipped by ancient royalty and weathered brick walls that still preserve the grandeur of the past. This site is a must-visit for history enthusiasts.

Review of a trip to "Prasat Nakhon Luang", Ayutthaya
#GetDiscountWithoutLuck
Nakhon Luang Castle, another sacred place in Ayutthaya that the Mu believers should not miss.
Nakhon Luang Castle is believed to have been built in 2174 during the reign of King Prasat Thong. The craftsmen modeled the construction from an ancient stone castle in Cambodia, combining it with Thai architecture beautifully and perfectly.
The highlight of the castle area is the walkway and the point where there is a Buddha statue.
And the highlight that Mu believers like us should not miss is going to ask for blessings from the 300-year-old Ganesha statue, which is very beautiful. It is believed that coming to pay homage to the Ganesha statue sitting on the skull throne or the Ganesha in the posture of defeating Mara at Nakhon Luang Castle will bring good fortune in work, love, and help eliminate evil things from us.
Tips for Mu believers: Place a 20-baht banknote or wallet on his hand, then pray and ring the bell 3 times.
In addition, Nakhon Luang Castle also has a floating moonstone slab and a Buddha statue, Luang Pho Somwang, and four Buddha footprints inside the Chaturamuk pavilion.
If you have free time, find a quiet place to relax your mind. I would like to recommend you to pin and follow in their footsteps.
