However, when people set foot on the Madeira Islands, they discovered that the curtain of the new world of America was slowly opening... 🎉Hey, Madeira belongs to Portugal, just off the west coast of Africa😏. I quickly saved it and plan to check it in later! ! 【Three-day itinerary guide】 Day 1: Let’s go to Funchal first😎 and feel the unique charm of this city😃. We drove more than an hour to reach Porto Moniz from Funchal in the island of Madeira, Portugal. It was worth the drive and it was not too difficult. We found the highway in Madeira are very well made and maintained. At Porto Moniz, we found a very unique and beautiful scenery. It is beside the Aquarium of Madeira and seems to be part of the restaurant Cachalote. There are stones that have been shaped by the wave with man made borders that trapped the water, creating a large pond of sea water. You can see the still water in front of the waves, which is very interesting. There are small fish in the pond and people are swimming in it, too, even in December.
