The city of Hamburg a bit looks like Amsterdam or Venice because of the many canals passing through the town. They are part of Elba river and they make the city looks pretty different than any other city in #germany #europe
I will definitely go again there some day.

Perhaps God is too favored, and the burgers on the banks of the River Elbe enjoy the love and embrace of the ocean, the canals and the lake. Water has filled her with vitality and spirituality. The shipping of the world has been paralleled. The buildings all show extraordinary temperament. The music of genius is born here. The glory and splendor of Germany is witnessed by her again and again.
Hamburg is one of Germany's three state-level cities (Berlin, Hamburg, Bremen), Germany's second largest city, Germany's most important seaport and largest foreign trade center, Germany's second financial center, and The economic and cultural metropolis of northern Germany has the reputation of World Bridge City.

Hamburg's top 3
The northern capital of Germany, the bigest city on river Elbe, the sixt bigest city of Europe, yes, that's Hamburg. Although the impressive dimensions of everything, the city is very pleasant and easy to navigate.
My personal top 3 attractions:
🥇The view from Elbphilharmonie over the port of Hamburg.
🥈A walk around the lake Alster.
🥉The zone around the City hall.

The wind from Northern Europe blows along the Baltic Sea
The only city in the northwest of Germany that can be proud of is Hamburg, after all, it's like a direct-controlled city, the only impression is that shopping is extremely convenient, and of course, the degree of freedom here is also very high.
I personally prefer the red roofs of Southern Europe with sea views, but the green roof of the Hamburg City Hall also has a unique flavor. A pretty good photo of the city hall can be taken from the shopping promenade next door.
The building where the Hamburg Concert Hall is located is a building that Hamburgers are proud of. There used to be a Westin here, but it seems to have withdrawn now? Going to the pier to find a boat for a tour can visit Hamburg's Warehouse City, cargo ship pier, and warship pier. The duration is about 1 hour, and you can basically see the essence of Hamburg Port.
Less than an hour's drive north of Schwerin is another city of the Hanseatic League, Wismar, where the port still retains some red brick historical buildings, showing the style of the past. The pier is quite close to some very characteristic boats, with fixed departure times, and you can spend a few tens of euros to experience the sea.

The port of Hamburg, Hamburger Hafen, which covers 100 square kilometers of tidal port, is known as the gateway to Germany. It's also where you'll find many of the city's important attractions - and on summer evenings and weekends many locals relax. The scenic pedestrian trail takes in the old 19th century Warehouse District, with continuous lines of tall brick buildings once used to store tobacco, coffee, dried fruit, and spices. Another landmark is the Köhlbrandbrücke, a 3.9-kilometer-long bridge that spans the harbor.
The newest and most spectacular addition to the waterfront is the Elbphilharmonie, known as Elphi. At the tip of the Grasbrook peninsula, this new building has become a landmark of the Port of Hamburg. The base is a six-story brickwork, a former warehouse of chocolate, tea, and tobacco above which sprouts an additional twenty stories of curved, shining glass. The largest of its three concert halls is 2,150 and is set with 10,000 plates specially designed for tuning sound waves. The building is also home to a large hotel, residential apartments, restaurants, and other features, including parking. A publicly accessible plaza on level eight provides excellent views of the harbor and city. The adjacent Traditionsschiffhafen/Sandtorhafen Harbor lines the peninsula and is a great place to view the antique tall ships at their docks. A good way to explore Hamburg Harbor is by boat, with many tours departing from Landungsbrücken.

Normally, the harbour festival is the biggest festival of the year in Hamburg. Not this year, so this might be the closest to it: The return of the Peking, the big sail ship. It was built here, but funnily, it didn't go to China very often. It mostly served trade routes between here and South America .

The Port of Hamburg, also known as the Hafen City, was built in 1189 and is located at the mouth of the North Sea at the Elbe River. It is the largest port in Germany and the gateway to the world in Germany. Good feeling of the port culture that every burger person is proud of.
After visiting the Yibei Philharmonic Hall, you can continue to the west for a direct walk to the Port of Hamburg. As a child growing up in the interior, it is still very exciting to see such a big ship. There are seven or eight companies operating the Hamburg Port Cruises at a price of 10 Euros. They set off on the whole point to search for the centuries-old industrial traces on the harbour.
